This thread is simply for the purpose of allowing people to post any comments or question they have (about pretty much anything) that might seem tactless, but that aren't meant in an offensive way.

- no ranting please. this is in fact meant to be offensive. so basically only post things that you are just to scared to ask normally because someone might be offended.

ok so i'll start off with a question of my own:
how are you supposed to react when a close friend says a relative of their has died? i mean, i feel sad that my friend is sad, but i've never met the person! i honestly don't care all that much about them.

I normally go, "I'm sorry for your loss". Do not say, "I'm sorry", because then it sounds like you killed the guy.
This stuff is normally for people that I do not know well. My homies, on the other hand, act hella differently.
So it depends.
