I'm worried about something (10)

Lately, I've been on either the extreme of happiness or the extreme of anger. Thing is, it's been getting worse lately. From thoughts of physically attacking someone in one too many violent ways, and almost doing so, and trying to stay somehow mentally stable. I have to admit, I haven't had much stress lately, but I've been slowly losing my passion for things I love and it worries me, because I'm starting to feel really empty and I don't want that feeling to come back at full power. I've tried trying to enjoy things again, but it just isn't working. I don't know what advice could do, but anything could help, really.

wow. it sounds like we're in pretty much the same situation. i'm dropping / skipping all of these activities that i used to love. i stopped for a few weeks and now i can't seem to get back into it. i'm not sure if this will work yet, but what i did is i set a deadline for myself and starting at that time, i'm going to start everything up again. i know i liked it before so i'm gonna try it for another few months to see if i can get back into it. if you weren't doing any activities / hobbies before, you should. filling up your schedule is a good method for preventing boredom which can cause (surprisingly enough) loss of interest.

I don't know if this will help with you, but when I get those feelings I usually put on some music to drown the world out and take some time for myself. Like going for a walk, playing video games, or just simply laying in the grass on a beautiful day. Find something or somewhere you can enjoy some alone time. If you being alone doesn't work for you, invite a friend. You can talk if you want or not. The choice is yours.
Hopefully this helps you ( ・∇・)

Sounds normal to me... You are just getting bored with what you've been doing for a while now? Try new things?

That sounds a bit like manic depression (also known as bipolar). I recommend talking to your doctor.

>>8 Not necessarily. The person hasn't listed how long the happiness or anger lasts. In the case that these periods don't last a few weeks or longer at a time, they are not bipolar. From the way the person speaks about this issue, it seems like it changes much more frequently than that. In that case, I would say it might be Borderline Personality Disorder.

That being said, I am definitely not qualified to diagnose anyone, nor did the person provide nearly enough information for anyone to be sure, so it would be better if they didn't draw any conclusions for the time being. Maybe it's a good idea to go to someone who is qualified, if it's worrying.
