You have no good reason to kill yourself. There is no such thing as a reason to kill yourself. Simple as that. The only reason why someone should ever have to die is because they are trying to hurt someone else. If you aren't doing that then you have no reason to not exist. You can contribute to the world, you aren't invisible. You can make lives change, you aren't a shadow. You can comfort people and make them happy, you aren't mute. So don't end it. That's weak. I'm tired of hearing people say it takes strength or it's hard to kill yourself, because it's not. It's the weakest at easiest way out. You're better than that. You are way better than that. Tell me why you want to kill yourselves, and I'll tell you why that's not a good enough reason.

Just committing suicide seems to be a really bad option. Even if you should have nothing to live for. Suicide should only be chosen in the gravest of situations in which not dying will mean even worse.

I was going to try and say something supportive and kind, but fuck that. You're a fucking coward. I have had many friends who have done this and it fucking sucks! I also tried to kill myself by jumping from a building but right as I jumped one guy threw his mattress out near the building and I happend to fall on it and just got hurt really bad
Moving this aside... The moment I jumped...while I was falling I felt regret by trying to kill myself, got scarred and wished that I hadn't done it. I woke up at the hospital actually happy to be alive. Sadly I don't think I can express the horror I've been through while falling. Look, I'm sorry I was rude earlier. It's just, I've lost a lot of friends and I was suicidal for a long time. The thing is, nobody took me seriously. I blatantly told people I was depressed and they laughed it off like a bad joke. I was so sad that I literally sat with my mom's gun, contemplating whether or not to go through with it. It took me months to finally make a decision: I wasn't going to leave my friends the same way mine had left me. Please, just remember that you don't just disappear after you die. Everyone you've ever touched will remember you. I hope you listen to me after what I said.

You're in this world for a reason, and that reason has nothing to do with killing yourself. Think of something happy, screw the sad stuff. I know this world sucks, but don't give up. Something good is coming in your life Zen, something good..

I use to be quite suicidal, and yet you don't seem very depressed to me. You do seem to ponder the reactions and how one deals at the idea of dying. I view dying as a part of life, so if it your time to go then it is your time to go. But I guess it wasn't my time in the suicidal periods of my life. I wanted something painless, which I didn't put much thought into. I wanted to jump off the roof of a skyscraper or shoot myself in the head. I didn't really have access to either of those things, so here I am.

Nothing I can say will probably change your mind if you have such a conviction to do so. I was the only one to change my mindset on ending my life. The very few that knew I was suicidal couldn't do a damn thing. People who tried to cheer me up always pissed me off. The only way I got over my depression was from finding out what it stemmed from. It was my past abuse from my dad just letting his anger out. From that it caused more things that I wasn't too happy about. I didn't know how much those beatings affected me till I knew more about myself.

There is no set way of learning more about oneself, but with me it was writing. I just wrote to write and I kept writing about myself, due to a class, and I found out a lot of things. Years later I finally got down to all the things I bottled up in my past. It is a way that doesn't work for anyone, but you could always give it a try. But I know it isn't the easiest way of resolving those problems, since it took me about 4-5 years to make peace with my entire past.

Again this seems more like curiosity than depression. I could be wrong, yet I was never this curious about anything when I was suicidal. I didn't want to do anything, or ponder for that matter. All I really wanted was to be gone.

You seem to be putting way too much effort into trying to prove a point, or trying to have people talk one out of it. That in itself is quite contradicting to one who is clinically depressed, for they don't want to do anything. They don't put much effort into anything either.

I could be wrong, but it seems too much like a experiment. Especially that last post, since you say, "we are more interested in strangers than the neighbors we know." You pointed out to have a set date to discard an emotional suicide. You keep stating things that make it seem like you are going to die just for the hell of it. You even stated it wasn't logical or meaningful reasons to do so. I just don't understand why you keep stating things that don't emotionally drive you to do so. If you are really going to do so then why ask for help in a way that you don't?

Just saying you will die is a cry for help. Yet you don't say anything as to why. For all I know this was just some big test you were trying to do. As for the neighbor thing that is incorrect in itself. Most people that I live near I don't know their names. Why? Because they don't give me the opportunity for any sort of contact, be it verbal, or physical. You just proved that conversing with another gets the same reaction. Most people would do the same, or more, if a neighbor said the same thing with a straight face.

Coming from people I know that have attempted suicide said it is quite emotional at the time. Putting a gun in your mouth and about to pull the trigger makes so many emotions arise.
