Does anyone know a good, in depth site for studying phobias?

I need to look up mine and possible methods for curing it.

Try eating granola bars before studying. It's actually a good kickstart to develop concentration or focus.

Anyway, I've tried asking Google and find out that you might be closer to having sophophobia or fear of learning. Try searching that term too.

Oops sorry my bad! Must have read it in a wrong way. LOL.

Nonetheless, try looking googling it. Wikipedia of course offers suc topic. Though I actually saw one when I tried to type it.

Getting over phobias usually involves a form Exposure Therapy, though you have to be very careful with it if you're just learning, because misuse can make the phobia worse. Self-Hypnosis is another option, same warning. You might be better off going to a therapist for a short while to learn the technique "properly", but obviously, many people have taught themselves. Also, look up Meditation, Relaxation, and Panic Attacks. Most phobias will trigger the last one, and the other two can stabilize you in the middle of the attack.

As for "sites", I use a free Android phone app by *cringe* "Excel At Life". They make some good stuff, even if they sound corny. I think they have a website. You could try there.

Good luck! <3

Buy books! Whenever I want to learn something, I buy/rent a book on the topic and read it.

>>4 Wikipedia doesn't offer Jack on this particular phobia, and when I tried using that site you offered, I found this site doesn't so much offer information about phobias, but about experiments done on people with certain phobias. Not exactly what I'm looking for.

>>5 I see... I understand the risks since I've tried to forcibly get rid of my fear in the past, and it just resulted in a panic attack. Thank you for this, I'll do my research.

>>6 Don't quite want to spend money for it. I'm pinching pennies as it is, and it would be even worse if I bought a book that wasn't helpful. I would only buy one if it had good recommendations.

>>8 Ehhh... Was kind of hoping to avoid that... The internet is not a nice place.
It's just... I've always been okay with this phobia until my roommate started pointing it out. Like... I don't think she means to make fun...but I feel that way. So now I'm a bit ashamed of it. Thanks though.
