a friend of mine is currently struggling with determining their gender identity, and they're trying to find a name they would feel more comfortable to go by. does anyone have any recommendations for a gender neutral (or feminine) name beginning with the letter "i"?

I don't know about gender identity but I've never liked my rl name. The name that I've given myself now is Sigh, I don't know how silly it sounds but I've grown attached to it and it's kind of become me now. Is she planning on permanently changing it or does she want more of a nickname or alias? My advice would be that it doesn't necessarily have to be a name that's been used before. A name has to be a part of you and represent who you are so I'm kind of glad that she's not simply going with the name she was given.
I'm sure she will be able to figure it out ^^
But it really is a hard thing, names...

I can't really think of any gender neutral names starting with I, so I'm just going to offer feminine ones.
Iris? Ingrid? India? Inko? Inaho?
That's all I got, but if you have the time, try searching on babynames.com . Might feel a little embarrassing of you don't have a baby, but it still has a ton of names you can choose plus their meanings. I hope you can choose a nice one for your friend. You know them better than we do!
