Real Friends? (2)

How do you describe real friends? I know that no matter how long you're friends with them, it doesn't mean that they are "real". Let me say that I'm the group's mood maker, always energetic and never sad (well, I never showed to them that I'm troubled or anything and they never noticed anyway.) I make fun of them, and they also make fun me (in a friendly and joking way) and often times, I purposely made fun of myself and act like an idiot. But recently, I noticed that they are treating me like an idiot for real(I don't know, maybe just my imagination). They ignore my suggestions when doing school projects or when I made a mistake, they yell at me saying that I'm an idiot. I don't know. What do you guys think? We've been friends for like, 4 years already.

I define my real friends as those people that I care about. Other people I might make small talk with, be polite to, even help, but if I don't care about them, then they're not friends.

As to your friends, if your feelings are being hurt by something that's going on, talk to them about it. I can't promise it'll go smoothly, but it's better to get it out in the open. Don't expect them to be psychic. It's awesome that you can read people's moods and make them feel better, but not everyone has that ability. And mostly, if they're your friends, give them the benefit of the doubt. Assume they didn't mean to hurt you, and that the whole thing is just a stupid misunderstanding, and approach the conversation like that. If that's not true, and they really are trying to hurt, you can always be legitimately upset with them then, but it's hard to take back hurtful things if you were wrong.

And if you need anything else, come on back. We'll help if we can. <3
