When I meet new friends, it's hard for me to keep up with my old ones. How do I keep up with new people and old people when they barely know each other?? It's like I'm straying away from stuff.

I understand, I feel like I'm loosing all my friends one after the other. Sometime I feel like it might be better to meet new people, but my old friends helped me through the most difficult times in my life. You should try hanging out with them again, keep each other updated on your life, while keeping up with your new friends as well.

That's why, its better to keep up with a small circle of pals, than a large one, and even if, sometimes you must let go of another, it is fate and the ever so changing path.
