This is a story of a young mans life. Let's call this young man SeaLover. This story starts like others with a tail of tragedy. Many years ago when SeaLover was just a boy his parents came to talk to him on his seventh birthday. The sat the boy down only a few feet from his one year old brother and asked which parent he loved more. Now the boy did not understand at the time what this meant, he did not realize that by saying he loved them both his life would become more complicated. The boys parents were getting a divorce and wanted to see what young SeaLover would say. So when he said both they decided to fight, and fight they did, for years. Now skipping the ugly we jump to his fifteenth birthday, SeaLover was standing in court now testifying against his mother for all the things she had done to his father, brother and him. It was then the judge declared that SeaLovers parents are officially divorced even though the mother refused to sign the papers. SeaLover thought his life would be better now, and for a time it was. His father met a new women even got engaged. SeaLover found someone he loved, and his little brother had found a mother in his father fiancé. All was well, until his eighteenth birthday. SeaLover had found a job and was going to college, he sat in his house in his basement waiting for his girlfriend to get off work. His dad's fiancé came down stairs and was crying and he heard his father yelling, he knew something terrible had happened. It turns out his dad's fiancé was cheating on him. When SeaLover found out he was mad and sad, he told the women never to come back. It only got worse his father lost his job and his brother became very depressed. SeaLover didn't know what to do, so he dropped out of college and started working more to cover the bills, he did his best never to cry or show his father or brother the pain he had. SeaLover but on a plastic smile for them and his girlfriend who was supporting him, he never opened up his bottle of hurt. For over two years he did this, but now SeaLover feels so hurt and alone. He sits in his basement only leaving to go to work or get food. But now things are starting to look up for SeaLover his father found a job and his brother a girlfriend, so why does he keep his hurt still. And why does he feel so depressed. I sit in my basement and ask myself these questions over and over. Then I think to myself " I just want the pain to go away."

Even if you had to drop out of college and put on a fake smile, you gave your family hope and now they're benefitting from it. You may have been the only one who could do that. You took on the responsibility of protecting them. You're really pretty amazing. Just think about that for a moment. Let that sink in.

You are an amezingly strong person that has had to deal with thing beyond your years and make sacrifices for the people you love. The pain you feel may never go away. Anyone who says it just takes time is lying. But there is hope. The pain may be there but other things will come, good things. Happiness and hope will feel the emptiness and from time to time you will feel the hurt but it will be lighter, smaller, and you will think of the good things, your little brothers smile, and your fathers peace of mind. You will find a partner with baggage to match yours and life will go on. So SeaLover from this anon going through hard times themself, keep going. I believe in you.

It's becouse you kept your emotions for yourself...you should speak with your family about it and probably go to college

Go to college
And tell your feelings right now before it is too late.
You told it to us, now tell your dad or little brother or your girlfriend.

What they did to you was very very selfish. It's amazing how you handled it. But now ir is time you do something for yourself. These are not your problems, but your parents'. It was your brave choice to try and solve it, but is was not your fault your parents did the things they did. Dont let it influence you anymore, llet it go, take your distance. Focus on yourself, what do you want to do? Back to college? It's time your family pays you back!

You've done really well, and it is admirable. Go on, man, all will be alright.
