This is going to be very difficoult for me.
I am writing this just to clear my consciousness
Took me a long time to push myself to write this :D

So, I am 16 and there is a girl who has had a crush on me (or still does). She is really good looking and a great type of person for a 12 year old and I really like her. In fact, I don't know how much I like her. Told ya it would be weird. Im 16 she is 12 and it is friggin awkward because I get envious and jealous when other boys talk to her.
I should add that we know each other from swimming.
So we both were kind of bullied for her having a crush on me. I was "bullied" or mocked for not clearing up with her but I don't know why I did not do that. Could it be that this is because of me never having experienced a girl liking me before?
Am I just exaggerating this?
I dont know and it is weird for me as when I think about her I am like: wtf ia wrong with me and at the same time : I really like her.

We pretend to be bro and sis.

Also, I now know about another girl liking me but I feel like I dont want her although she is cool and cute. Dunno why. Makes me feel stupid.

Btw the thing with her having a crush on me really got her into problems as the other girls were bitching around a lot. And she was really sad after one girl actually held a speach why she is stupid.

Dont know if she still has a crush on me. Probably not. Could be though.

I believe I can understand you (I've been in a somewhat similar position), especially the 'envious' part and the whole 'crush or not' situation.
Imo.. when it comes to love and such, the only way is honesty and trust.. I don't have a girlfriend and might never do.. But if I do, I bevieve our relationship would have to be based on that, not 'HUHUHU SEX AND BODY HUHUHU'... I'm sure you know what I mean, I hope I helped a little ^^'

You like the idea of a girl liking you. You said it yourself you've never had a girl like you before so this new experience makes you feel good so you have become infatuated with her not because of her but because she likes you. I'm pretty sure you just want her to keep liking you which is fine for you. You feel weird because you like this whole experience but at the same time you think its wrong to an extent. That's what I think, I could be wrong. Have Fun.

You can't help who you crush on, but you can help who you date. I don't make a move on anyone and everyone I have feelings for because sometimes it's just not a good idea. In my case, they tend to be coworkers and bosses.

I don't know how to help you in your situation because I've never been I a relationship but I'll try the best I can. I get that you like her and she might like you but if you try to be in a relationship it most likely won't end well, what if the girl you like starts dating you and then hateful rumors spread, you wouldn't want that right? Also if you really want to be in this relationship you could wait, and who knows, you could find someone who you like better. Again, I've never been in a relationship so you don't have to listen to me

I may have issues, but I seriously dislike people who care about age...

4 years gap doesn't really matters when both of you become an adults, for now you can be just friend for her, act like her older brother, who knows what will happen 10 years from now, maybe both of you will get married to each other or maybe with different person. But the point is, don't act weird just because of the age gap, the problem lies on her age (too young to falling in love, in my personal opinion) just wait for another 4-5 years and you good to go out with her

this might not be too useful to you... but i kind of can imagine how she feels.. right now i am fourteen and had a crush for almost a year now... and if i had the chance to talk more with him... or at least become something like a friend to him - then maybe i would be so happy that i might just cry...
i dont know for sure if she feels the same way... but if she likes you, im sure she would be happy even with you being just near her.
i personally think a 4-year gap isn't such a big deal you make it out to be (you think it's a lot because you're still only 16)..so if you continue being indecisive because of something like that gap, then that just means you don't like her that much. if you decide that you like her, enough to ignore the gap, then face her head on and say your true feelings to her.

-Personal opinion NOW: too far apart agewise and developmentwise. 4 years is quite a bit for teens. I will see what happen in the future. XD
- She doesn't seem to have a crush on me anymore, which can be considered ok considering the problems it gave us. Although we still are quite close :D
