Make friends, but don't try to make too many good friends unless you already do that. Focus on at least getting contact details for people in your program so when you are living away from them you can get help/study together.

I can't give you social advice, but don't get lost, I guess.

>Yes, make social contact. Be friends with upperclassmen (and fellow sameclassmen ofc)! They are great help, just pick the right ones. Also, try not to join the rush or organizations immediately. Let yourself explore the university on your own pace.

>Speaking of dorms,I bet you might have a roomie or two or more! They're your first friends at uni, believe it. You'll be spending time together just until you guys eventually find your respective groups, but don't worry, they'll always be there. :)

>Decorate your space in your room to make it feel more like your room at home. Personally, it beats homesickness. Also, stay clean. No one wants a sloppy roomie haha

>Alternate eating out and eating ramen (or any other quick foods) Seriously, stay healthy bec it's good. :)

Have fun at a bigger environment!

FUCKING TALK TO PEOPLE.
It really annoys me when people around me whine on a daily basis that they haven't made new friends, and the semester's over. Like bruh you interact with hundreds of people in college, why do they never think about getting someone's number/Twitter/FB?

Remember to save time for studying. That's critical. There were some times when places were too crowded before finals and my dorm was really loud.

Get to classes like an hour early the first week, and check a map beforehand. You will otherwise look incompetent.
