Failure (10)

1 Name: Saya : 2014-12-02 08:04 ID:1Wl93rsl [Del]

This is the first i actually had a failing grade. I cried about it for two days, cant eat well, cant do anything properly.Because of this, I'm afraid to talk to my friends because they might think differently of me right now. They say its aright, but i still cant accept it, i did my best but i guess it wasn't enough.

You are going to repeat a year, or just a bad grade from one exam?

I have to repeat the subject, meaning I will be delayed for one semester in my studies

I see. Well, we have got a different system here in my country.
Enough about me though.
There is no point in getting depressed. It is just a waste of time. Take that failure to your heart as a motivation do to better next time.
I also do not understand why would they have to think of you differently. If something like this would be enough for them to change their opinion about you, then it just shows how little they knew of you.

Do not let it get to you. Good luck to you, also.

Listen Saya, if your friends think differently of you or make fun of you because of this one failing grade then that show's that they probably aren't true friends. if they are your true friends then they will try to encourage you to do better and would try to help you. and every single human being has had some failure in there life, whether it's a bad grade or something else. if nobody ever failed then how would they learn? through this failure u will be more prepared and better at whatever u failed at. learn from the failure and better equip yourself to be able to take on this challenge and succeed with flying colors

it might take a few try's but u'll make it through. i promise.

Saya, short-comings, failures and mistakes are all part of the human experience. It's okay to muck up. It's going to happen at one point or another, and it's going to be that way for the rest of our lives. Believe it or not, it doesn't really matter all that much about how perfect you're grades have been or how spotless your record is. What matters is what you do after you take a hit.

I mean, I was at the same point at you at the beginning of this year. I got so fixated on making sure my grades were perfect, because I felt that they were where my only source of worth lay. So when I failed, I got pretty damn low on myself, as well. I really hope your experience isn't like mine after that point, but you sound a lot like I did.

The thing I really want you to take away is that I got better. I got back on top of my life. It was bloody hard. I had to talk to my school counselor a lot, which was a weird experience that made me cry a lot when I'd never really been the emotional sort beforehand. I made new friends and instead of pushing them aside to focus on study, I reorganized my time so I could watch stupid movies and eat enough chocolate to make ourselves sick. Then I started running to burn off said chocolate. These things helped me, so hopefully you can take something helpful away from it, too.

Just remember that life will go on, and so can you. It's scary, but sometimes changing is the best thing to do, and sometimes it's better to abandon certain efforts and move on. Once you get past this rough patch, you will be a heck load stronger than you were before. Just wait and see. You won't right away, but then one day you'll look back and realise everything you did and fought through, and hopefully that day, you'll be damn proud of yourself.

Lol you're crying over a failed class? Oh man you must be YOUNG!
Just poking fun at you :P
Honestly, it's not the end of the world, you're being wayyyyyy too hard on yourself.

I remember when grades meant the whole world to me.... Then when I entered college, life's true hardships came calling and school took a backseat (aka, I became a huge slacker lol).

Believe it or not, you'll actually learn more from failing -- the best in anything are the best simply because they work hard and diligently, despite failure. It sounds like you've been breezing through school for most of your educational tenure, and this is the first time you've encountered difficulty. Getting all torn up isn't going to make you perform better next time. Analyze your actions, find your mistakes, figure out how to fix 'em, then move on.

Now go conquer the world, champ.

If your friends mistreat you due to a bad grade, then they're a bunch of tryhard snobs who don't deserve your respect or attention.
