2 weeks ago I was told about a cute girl with interests similar to my own. At first I didn't payed much attention, but curiosity made me add her on facebook. Since then we have spoken a little, I've managed to arrange a meeting with her and some mutual friends, but nothing much came out of it, expert me getting stunned by her beauty and charm.
Now here is the deal... from the bloody moment I've laid eyes up on her... I could not help to be mesmerized by her... I'm about to fall for her and I'm not very found of that vulnerability.
She is way younger then me, 7-8 years I think, but I've enjoyed our conversations, we have similar interests, enjoy similar music, games... But I have no idea if she is just being polite and nice, or if there is any chance.
I kind of feel bad to vent out here, but I hate to get hurt, and I've just got out of a very hurtful relationship a few months ago, after healing myself up, getting hurt all over again by falling in love with some one who may not be interested on me...
I'm 28, so she is 20-21 btw (just in case you were wondering bad things)...
I just want some peace in my life, it has been a dark road, I want to be happy and make some one happy, with all my heart. Respect, fun, companionship. I want love, true love, but I've been hurt and betrayed so many times by the people who should love me the most... that, some times, it's hard to keep a positive perspective.

Taking risks is the only way to find happiness. Shure you might get hurt but if your too afraid of the pain then how do you expect to move on? Fuck that, the pain you feel shouldn't bring you down so mush so you must be willing and brave enough to take that chance.
Now before you go charging in you must find out if shes in a relationship status or not, I don't do Facebook so I have no clue how "connected" you two are by that but it might work in your favor (you obviously know how to use that better than me). What im trying to say is that it sounds like your in poor connection with her so you have to use every available resource you have to make the perfict plan to make her yours, that thing you said where you meet with her with some "mutual friends", take the friends out of the picture and make it a day for the two of you, having others around will just hold you back from making the best impression of yourself. You like the same stuff right? Arrange the two of you to go to a concert of your favorite music or something you know she like. Also remember that another good option is taking her to "your playing field"; like for me it would be at a particular bar I go to all the time and I impress the girl I took with my drinking ability's, your "playing field" will obviously be different but figure it out and take it into consideration.
This is love where talking, serious shit that succeeds when the girl loves you for you and it goes the same the other way around. So be yourself, sounds like your already doing it so good for you that puts you in good odds, but you don't have to tell her about all your hobbies in one night or day, put her down softly ya know? Whatever your older than me so you been in and out the game so i'll just shut up about that. It's cool that you found someone like that, had one of bro's recently tell me hes moving in with his girlfriend, I was shocked, can't wait to see how the two of them our doing (my best wing-man is flying away from me but he's spreading his wings ya know?). Your feeling sound too pure to be true, one last ting I want to mention is that.. you know what? Fuck it! You got this bro, I wish for the best of you, I hope you find what your looking for!
