why is everyone so nice? i'm sorry but i struggle to hold a smile and being nice to people makes me cringe, yet eeryone here and in other places can be nice. i enjoying having chaotic thoughts and evil plans but other people just want to love and be loved, want to be the best they can be. if i'm honest its rather fascinating how people can be so different and how you can all be so happy compared to angry people, and how you feel the ned to help others? its crazy!

I do sometimes to, but I smile. People are nice because it's who we are on the outside. In a way people hide things with a nice cover, yet some may be bad in reality. Reasons unknown. It is how we humans work. With what we do and become. People choose to be nice for its them or a cover as I said before. You can never know.

hahaha and this AnnaMay, is the reasons humans and people simply fascinate me, sometimes i love them, sometimes i hate them, but they always fascinate me, and that reason is one of the many on why they do.

True. Everyone has something to hide that we don't know. Though sometimes now I here a voice in my head. Though I think I just made it up... I don't know about people sometimes. Only when they act so and so I care if it's about my family to friends. Humans are interesting but we have something. Humans need something to cling to when in threat or pain. Dark secrets lock away real happiness. Thought there are some who have no real madness in them. They seem so harmless yet antsy thing can change.

Every human has the capacity to be needlessly cruel. They also have the potential for unconditional love.

The needle usually falls closer to the middle of these extremes.

I genuinely enjoy being nice to strangers. Still, there are times I get annoyed with people and want to be away from them. It's tempting to resort to malice... there is instant gratification... but it is a false happiness. You end up all alone with nothing but your bitterness.

That is why I try to be nice. Forgiveness and friendliness give us a sense of respect as people. It can be difficult to be friendly, but the reward is worth it.

Most people aren't actually nice. From what I've seen is that being nice benefits you with others and that's the reason why most will be nice for the benefits. Once you remove the whole morals thing out you'll have a much easier time understanding everything. People aren't nice they're greedy and selfish, and that's completely fine to me because I'm the same way. I'm no hero, nor a good person its absurd to divide people into good or bad.

No-one is truly 'nice', they may act in a way that is considered 'nice, however, when you take a human for what their desires truly are, all humans are selfish. Everyone desires power, love, pleasure, money, good food etc... In the end, people merely act nice to keep up appearances in public. As Light Yagami said, 'Humans will always try to keep up appearances in public, that's just the way we are'. They act nice to meet another motive, whether consciously or unconsciously...

As >>7 and >>8 said no one is really nice. I think a lot of people just put on a face to make themselves look better in front of other people. If people like them, then they'll continue to be "nice" so that they can get what they want. These people have other motives that really aren't nice.
For the genuinely nice people, well I think they just really want everyone to be happy, for them helping people makes them happy and being mean really just isn't like them.
It's easy to tell who is genuinely nice and who isn't though (sorry, this was probably stupid.)

I think some people are nice, it is just hard to find in this day and age. I know I am a nice person, but my views on humanity contradict that. I treat people usually how they treat me. I go out of my way for others a lot, and not just do to wanting people to like me. It feels nice to help others that need it as well. I have done so without expecting a reward or anything.

Well, I have to say, even I sometimes have crazy evil ideas. One time I seriously considered killing someone, but I would never be able to do it. The guy was just such a idiot to everyone, my friends and me, I got so mad. I had serious thoughts of going to hid house one night and..well(See, sounds like a mad man.)

Still, I never said any of this out loud. All I ever did was joke about it. It's true that people are 'nice' But for the most part it's all just an act.

Nobody is always nice and happy. It´s about controlling yourself and not being an asshole to everyone. If I have a bad day or something I don´t act rude just because of that. Why would I? I doesn´t help in any way. People are nice because that´s how society works. Just because you are in a bad mood or something doesn´t mean you can just be rude. You have to controll yourself, at least on the outside. On the inside everyone is having chaotic thoughts sometimes.
