How do have an adventure? (4)

How do have an adventure with only a journal, a pencil and a empty cassette tape with a tape recorder at a urban neighborhood in the middle of nowhere special?

omg..... so much. Run around to your neighbors asking stupid questions like your a reporter and record them while taking notes. :D It'll annoy everyone and be great entertainment for you.

You could keep a journal on human psychology. Pay attention to how people act depending on the situation and try to find what makes them behave in such away.

My friend and I used to go geocaching, explore the woods, and sometimes just get dropped off in random neighborhoods we'd never been to and see what interesting things we found on our way back. Adventure is fun :>

And >>2 has a great idea if your neighborhood doesn't have any natural places. There's so much stuff to do.

Another fun idea is to go walking around behind stores (like, if you have a busy street with a whole strip of big stores, just walk behind them). The only time you can touch the street is if you have to cross it. You never know what you're gonna find .u.

And if you find anything interesting to pick up, you can record it on your tape like it's evidence to a crime, and at the end of the day, work out "what happened" in your journal like there's an ongoing mystery.

On the note of geocaching, if you have someone willing to adventure with you, you can do a budget version by putting an easter egg or box somewhere and then drawing up a terrible map to it for a friend to try to follow (and switch each time by having the other person hide it).
