Future (7)

So on Monday last week in school, my homeroom teacher gave us 5 pieces of paper and told us to write 5 things that meant most to us and I wrote friends, fangirl stuff, anime, music and The Dollars. Then we had our teacher come around with a container and told us to throw one of them in at a time until we had one left. The one I had left was The Dollars and they said thats what your going to do in your future, I was kinda confused. SO I want your guys opinions about it.

Hi Dawn Blake. Perhaps your teacher wasn't clear about it, but I think she meant for you to write down more general things, for example, that you like animals, music, sports, or stuff like that. Then the point would have been that the last thing you kept would become something that you would work with in the future. If music, for example, it could be as an musician, an audiotechnician, or perhaps a teacher. I'm not sure of course, but perhaps that was what she meant for you to do :)?

but I don't have anything thats more general, is it ok for me to not think about my future seriously? I think I need more opinions

>>3 honestly if you are unsure of your future and still in school, don't worry about it too much ;3 I am 19, in college, don't know what my major is going to be- AND I have trouble deciding between my own happiness and money soooo I would say you are not alone in this.

>>1 What kind of things you like about the Dollars, what kind of things you do here? It means that your ideal future is doing stuff like that.

As for me I like to help people in general. There are many ways to do that, the job I currently have is Pharmacist, I get to help people all the time, listening, advising, etc. That's kind of what I try to do in the Dollars, read other people problems and try to advice them. It's not like I'm solving world hunger, but if some one's burden is softened by my actions, I'm happy.

You need to find future that makes you happy, a job that lets you do things that you like.

Similar to what previous posts have said, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I know friends who have graduated college and still don't know what they want to do in the future.

And like Dragonhand suggested, I would simply take a look at why you like the Dollars and what you do as part of us. I like the Dollars because here I can connect with people who genuinely care about helping others, and partake in organized efforts for good. For someone else, they might be here just to enjoy a community they can talk to. In either of these cases, the reasons for being in the Dollars could point towards a direction in life, because it's something you're naturally drawn towards.
