I'm nearly 20 and have just started my first relationship. Anyone got any tips for this relationship thing? Because I have no idea. Either way wish me luck because I'll need it.

There is no "tutorial" for when it comes to love. The only advice anyone can ever give you is to be yourself.
Other than that, it will be just your decisions how will you care about her.

I suggest getting to know the person well :-) Then, you can surprise them in a pleasant way. But, it's all up to you...

If you make a "mistake", and you will believe me, try to learn from it and not do it again... :-)

~GOOD LUCK FROM CRYPTIC! :-D

Treat the relation ship like a dance. Give and take, but there is someone who will lead, and another who will follow. You have to make the choice on which you want to, or have to be. Have fun, and I hope it goes well.

Just remember that in a good relationship you're friends before boyfriend and girlfriend. Those types of relationships not solely concentrated on romance are always well balanced and last long.

best advice i could give is dont try and put a label on what "love" or a "relationship" should be, because the really isnt a right answer. just do what makes both of ya happy, follow Cryptic's advice, and you should do pretty well! b

best wishes, Shiro-San

>>7 I can not agree enough ;) But seriously, just because you are in a 'relationship' doesn't mean you can't be best buddies too! The best relationships are generally the ones where you still enjoy the co op games and do friend stuff together as well as the dates and other *cough* *cough* stuff ;) ;) GOod luck!

Be honest.. Relationships go down a huge spiral of lies of ya'll aren't honest.

I wish you luck at least, so far I haven't been able to stay in a relationship. I won't be passing any advices if they haven't worked for me. If anything it is important to be yourself and not change it for anyone. I learned that much at least.

Just be yourself. Don't try to be something that you're not. And be open, honest, and don't hold back. Also make an effort to surprise her do something spontaneous like buy her flowers randomly for no reason other than the fact that you like her.

BE HONEST. The main reason relationships end bad are when one or both parties aren't being honest with one another. Whether its good or bad, you owe it to the person you're with to be honest with how you feel. If the person can't accept a problem you have, then maybe that person isnt for you, and thats okay. But always be honest, and you'll be better off now and in the future. Be honest with them, and more importantly yourself.

Also, relax. The person is with you for a reason. People fall for you the moments you are just being yourself. So be you, and be honest, and you've got this!

I can't remember who I heard it from but they said that a big part of a relationship is how well flaws are accepted. Everyone has flaws and both people must be ok with eachothers. It is hard to explain but hopefully it makes some sense.

Also what happened to the dating problems thread. That has a lot of advice.

I think it goes something like I love him/her flaws and all.

Three majorly important things: trust, honesty, and commitment. Without those things and a little more of this and that, a relationship will shrivel up and die. Be honest with your partner, and be honest with yourself. Don't push anything, take things as they come. Good luck!
