Hello fellow dollars members I'm a uk member and from tomorrow I shall be money less and homeless and don't get me wrong this isn't going to be a sap story or me begging although i wouldn't say no to contributions,I'm simply going to ask if anyone knows any nice places to sleep rough or ways to earn money quite easily since earning money the hard way will be a lot harder since I'm homeless no one in job interviews would hire a homeless man well unless i got a suit or something like that but i will have to be doing odd jobs for people for a while to get a nice one so basically im just asking for advice
I would play the piano for money and in high school I would play the ukulele and get a bit of money from some of the other girls and some guys here and there. also where in the uk are you at.
i live in the border line of kent and london and i don't know how to play any instruments i guess i could try and drum on buckets and stuff but no one would give money to a half assed drummer
Are there no hostels you could stay at or any shelters? A police station or jobcentre could point you in the direction of somewhere to stay. Also, in England you can get crisis loans, which I think have no interest (I might be wrong). You could look into using the money to get yourself back on your feet. Best of luck.
I'm not really sure of your circumstances but may I suggest possibly becoming a Big Issue vendor. It will give you the opportunity to earn some money and get back on your feet. I know that they give you free copies to get you started, but you could check out their website for more info. Good luck
Okay, after a bit more research (sorry, no idea how to properly attach links)-
I found these people: http://england.shelter.org.uk/
in their website I found this:
"Call Shelter’s free housing advice helpline on:
0808 800 4444
Shelter's helpline is open 8am–8pm on weekdays and 8am–5pm on weekends, 365 days a year.
Our housing experts will offer support to you no matter what your housing situation."
They also say that the call should be free in most operators and that it might take sometime so make sure you have like 30 minutes free to make the call. Also, sometime the line is busy, but somebody is always there so keep trying if at first you can't get through.
I hope this helps, keep us updated so we can help and know you are alright.
