A Giant Box of If's (2)

For me, there's always "if's" floating around inside my head and it can get really confusing; I've found that writing it out helps. Anyone else have any similar experiences exploring their confusing, unsettling, or random "if's" they want to share?

I express my ifs outloud. I'm often told that I'm just overly worried about everything and it makes me angry. Needless to say, being angry causes all sorts of issues. This coming weekend I'm going on a trip to a relatively unsafe location for swimming. Being as I can't swim, I'm really just going to watch my group swim while I sit and hope they don't die. Upon expressing this, I was met with "It'll be fine" and "We're still going. You don't have to come." ...Yes, I do have to come. If anyone was hurt or if anyone died, I'd feel terrible. People HAVE died at the location, it isn't safe. But of course, it IS only an if. Ifs apparently don't matter.
