The bank probably should have been your first step, but other than that, it sounds like you're doing it right. They also might prompt you to notify the authorities.
Maybe you should sign up for overdraft protection while you're at the bank tomorrow to make sure you can't overcharge in the future? It might be a couple bucks a month, but it's worth avoiding the $30+ dollar fee for each charge.
just got back from the bank, they said that they would pay back the overdraft (thank god).
amazon is repaying me the money they got and they reported the guy to the cops because he was dumb enough to use it on an account with an address.
im probably just going to cancel this card and get a new one to be safe but other than that everything turned out ok, and yeah while i was at the bank i went ahead and changed my policy to reject my card when its empty, which is free at my bank.
