Any Type 1 Diabetics out there? (2)

I've had this disease for years now and now that I've been out of high school for about a year now, there seem to be fewer and fewer people that I connect with. This disease just seems to make socializing and meeting others more difficult and when people find out they think I need some special treatment or don't talk to me anymore. It would be really nice to meet some fellow diabetics that feel what I'm feeling as well. Work, school, life at home, and this affliction are just draining me emotionally and it would be nice to have someone who understands the things I'm going through. I'm just feeling isolated now and confused.

>>1 as far as know I don't have it, however, when you first meet people why tell them any possible diseases or disorders that you may have? Frankly I think that if you don't want people to judge you for a stigma then it's best to not talk about it. I don't mean that harshly, of course your friends will eventually find out and if they leave you because of it then they obviously are terrible friends. Don't be ashamed of anything and it may be hard but keep searching for more people to relate to. I hope that this helps.
