Am i a sexist? (34)

1 Name: Afro : 2014-06-21 20:20 ID:Cg1iy1xs [Del]

Not to long ago at school there was this girl who was complaining about a grade she got on an assignment. Then she said and I quote "It's hard for a little girl to make it in a grown man's world" no really that's what she said. I replied by saying that maybe that said girl is too incompetent to make it in this world. Then she when on a rant and called me a sexist bastard. Plus the teacher was a woman.

Unless she was talking directly to you, your input really wasn't necessary. For all you know, she may have been talking about a completely different topic to another classmate and just happened to complain about her grade between the conversation. Thinking you knew the conversation she'd been having before, she may have taken it offensively.

If you're 100% sure that the entire thing was about her grade, then she's probably couldn't be reasoned with anyway. Arguing about it is pointless.

Unless you said that specifically because of her sex and not because she seemed inept and/or whiny, then no, you're not sexist. A little rude for making a comment maybe, but not sexist.

5 Name: FAR!ysVdKsdUyc : 2014-06-22 20:42 ID:GpPE6SDY [Del]

Shes the one who's sexist for implying that men have it better, when they really dont. Stop demonizing either gender. It's very easy to blame others for your own incompetence.

>>5 >implying that men have it better, when they really dont

Yeah, they really do.

>>6 No, they don't. The world has, and is shaping to make a perfect fit women. Example, schools. I'm sure you've heard this argument before, but throw stuff at me. Typical male behavior which was once accepted is now condemned, like horseplay. Which in, will have long-term effects on progress of the male child for repressing these natural desires.

That's just one. Probably not said right, but hopefully it gives some gist.

I'm like a time bomb here. :(((

No your not now a days alot of things are equally discriminated against so in way we cant stop it but were all equal but you are kinda rude i would of said your the one who failed to meet the criteria of the test it isnt any ones fault but your own or somthing along the lines of that

12 Name: Blinking!!VVr++Kk/ : 2014-06-25 02:42 ID:ROcnOzKY [Del]

>>10 Because it's a stupid, pointless argument. There is absolutely no reason to pursue it and cause a shitstorm over something so bloody petty.

13 Name: Mae : 2014-06-25 10:02 ID:F7BEltz4 [Del]

Don't thinks the sexism is really the issue here. I mean if it were someone you appreciate (it seemed not to be the case here) you may have not say that...

14 Name: Inuhakka !u4InuhakKA : 2014-06-25 13:09 ID:1p2d8/ii [Del]

>>12 Just because we choose to pursue this topic of discussion does not mean it will turn into a shitstorm. I'm not sure why you think it's a stupid, pointless argument. If I can get another perspective on the state of gender equality as it stands now, I think that's a positive gain on my part.

No one is forcing anyone to pursue this topic.

15 Name: Blinking!!VVr++Kk/ : 2014-06-26 03:07 ID:ROcnOzKY [Del]

>>14 There's just no winning that argument. It's not worth the effort when the eventuality is that someone is going to start a ruckus because they got their panties in a twist for not being the most oppressed manchild in the room.

16 Name: Chreggome : 2014-06-26 08:32 ID:0c3hTbPN [Del]

. >>15 I think that's just as stupid of a statement as you're trying to tell them not to have.

"Most oppressed manchild."

Go fuck yourself, faggot.
I am oppressed.
I am a straight white male and the world is fucking hard for me too.
I have went days without eating, such advantage over the poor women and the poor fucking niggers.

I have to walk 10 miles to and from work because I do not have a car.
Such privilage I have being a straight white male.

My home has a giant ass hole in the ceiling from a leaky pipe that the drunk of a property manager has not and will not fit.
The jews that run actually own the land and building, when I complained, told me that I am going to have to pay for it even though I told them about it for months.

I get paid more than the women I work with, but that's because I fucking work harder than they do.
They stand around and chit chat for hours while I stay over my shift and pick up the slack.

Sexism is real but gender war is for fucking plebs that have little to no understanding of the world around them.

So, do I have my panties in a twist, you bet your fucking ass I do.

As great as men are doing, you would figure my life would be easier huh?

The poor and middle class, both sexes and all races, have it far worse here than anyone.
To think it is just the women and the niggers is fucking ignorant as fuck.

Eat a dick, Blinking.

17 Name: Chreggome : 2014-06-26 08:41 ID:0c3hTbPN [Del]

I know I said I wouldn't get into it, but that all I'm going to say guys.
Promise.

And Blinking, I don't dislike you bb.
I just think your choice of words and probably oppinions on the matter are dumb.
Sorry to be a dick but this shit is beyond fucking retarded.

>>15 >implying I was trying to win anything

>>17

Would you say that although the world does not automatically give out free cars, high paying jobs, and blowjobs to every straight white male on the planet despite some people's beliefs, it is easier to do things like get jobs and be taken seriously as a professional over a woman in the same position? Do you think it's more worth it to help the poor and middle class and close the wage gap than waste time on this gender war?

I'd like to see sexism gone, but I guess you can consider it a lower priority given that there are bigger problems with people in general.

19 Name: Chreggome : 2014-06-26 10:21 ID:Ko34fjVr [Del]

>>18
>is it easier to get jobs! be taken seriously?
No, again it comes down to how much money you or your family has.
There is a girl I work with, she is dumb as rocks and awful at her job. Daddy is rich though, so she is treated better than I am.

>is it worth it to help poor, close wage gap?

Yes and no. I think it's always worth it to help people who are less fortunate than you are. But I don't think it's a system that can ever be fixed.
I think, instead, people should start working together and focus on getting around the system.

I'm not saying that sexism doesn't exist, because it does. I just think that people crying about it is fucking dumb when both sides of the argument are being baited against each other so we can't work together.

20 Name: Blinking!!VVr++Kk/ : 2014-06-26 20:23 ID:ROcnOzKY [Del]

Oh shit.
Guys. This is a huge case of miscommunication.
What I'm saying here is that I don't agree that either sex is more oppressed. I'm saying that I think we both face a lot of issues and squabbling like babies isn't going to solve them. I don't think men have it better than women or women have it better than men because there are so many things to take into account. Sexism isn't the only form of discrimination people face, and we need to remember that there are other factors that can ruin lives, and with far less effort.
I'm not against men's rights, nor am I against women's rights.
In hindsight, I should have made my opinion on the issue clearer. Sorry all.

>>16 For clarification, I wasn't directing manchild at men only.
But anyway, I agree with everything you've said. When you don't have enough food to pay rent, your race, gender, and sexuality all become pretty fucking meaningless.
>>17 No problems there.
>>18 Another thing in need of clarification: other people are trying to win this dumb argument, not necessarily you.
>>19 THIS.

your not. your just overly truthful. what you said was kind of jerky but if you fel so bad about this just go up to her and apolozie and offer to touter her and bve more careful of how you wrod your opinions in the future. actually she was being sexist.

25 Name: Rorrun : 2014-06-27 12:56 ID:W2JApUEx [Del]

You didn't say anything about her gender, she pointed it out first, as if she was bragging about it. So she was passively being sexist herself, she is at fault here.... my opinion.
But yeah, if somebody said something like that to me out of nowhere, I would get mad too.

26 Name: BarabiSama !!C8QPa1Mt : 2014-06-28 08:53 ID:o7YaVxEo [Del]

>>25 That's not bragging :L Also, why do you feel the need to italicize every post?

I use italica everywhere, be it mail, or forums, chats.

Radical feminist mentality. At this point, according to them and people like them, everyone in the world is sexist towards women. Victim card. Special snowflake syndrome.

30 Name: Lucy45 : 2014-07-02 06:09 ID:TOHJRusp [Del]

Shw sounded way more sexist than you. This type makes me feel bad about my gender.

Nah man she was just releasing her inner feminist side. That doesnt sound degrading to me at all.

32 Name: Afro : 2014-07-02 22:57 ID:Cg1iy1xs [Del]

I've come to realize that I was a total dunkhead (New slang I invented meaning shithead) but that girl needs to get over herself because she's not the first person to fail at something.

33 Name: XPR : 2014-07-05 03:57 ID:2s6R6SX5 [Del]

I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of a response... As a matter of fact I would have let her dwell in her insecurity... But that's just because I'm a bastard.

In terms of sexism, I can say that there was no meaning behind those words that would hint at sexism...

34 Name: BarabiSama !!C8QPa1Mt : 2014-07-05 09:10 ID:o7YaVxEo [Del]

>>32 She's probably over herself by now :\ There's nothing wrong with being annoyed with a bad grade; it's not like her whole life is ruined and she's still crying over it.
