Hi everyone, I have something that has been in mind for quite some time now. I just thought I should tell you Dollars, instead of talking to people about this in real life.

This year in September I will be moving to a different school, alone. (For my last two years of high-school) Well, I have my best-friend that goes to school there already but I'm getting second thoughts. It all seems pretty nice over there honestly, I live in Canada and they go for trips all over the world. (Like China, for example.)They're pretty reliable for health issues and education.

I live in a small town and the school is in the city. I have never stayed in the city for more than a month and I'm afraid I might get very homesick. I have always hated this town, but I loved the comfort of my family and friends... so that means I will be away from them for a long while. Of course there are trips back home during the holidays.

There's a huge chance I'll be accepted, despite the fact that I have been very good on my grades since middle school, and that I was supported by the staff of my school.

My question here is: Do you think I should experience the "city life" with my best-friend?

>>1 I live in a small town so I understand how you feel and I'm also leaving for the city. My advice is to go experience city life! You can also make new friends there as well. I know it sounds scary but just as long as you're careful it should be fine :3
If you don't go you might always wonder "what if?" and that's a terrible feeling so I really do think that you should go and experience this chance. Good luck and go for it!

It's always good to try out new stuff, take the chance when you have the chance.
You will have your best friend with you, that's awesome! You would be probably very homesick alone, but having a friend there, you should get accustomed to the atmosphere there fast.

I mean moving is always hard at times for people. But if you have your best friend with you, i think you will be fine to adjust to a somewhat new life. There will always be new people and things to meet and experience. And as said before, visiting old friends and family will also always be good for you. I think it will be great. Having personal experiences in both small towns and city's i guess is a good. You can say that you know from both sides. I think the worst part is just THINKING of how it will be. But once your there, you will be fine, flowing like everyone else. Good luck.

Its a great thing to do you should experience the city. if you get home sick you can always call home or go back every once in a while. I myself lived in a big city for most of my life.

Thanks, guys. I gave it some thought and I've made the decision to go to school. I don't know what will come in my way, but I'm ready to face it. I'm sure I'll be fine, as long as my bestfriend is with me.
