To lose and gain but not to feel (4)

If at one point you thought to yourself, (and I know you have) "Without these emotions and troubles, I would do much better for myself" Well, you're correct, but is it possible? Most likely not. Even if it were, to break free from your feelings is quite the task. Just a taste, and you've already begun to sink deeper and deeper into your own heart. So what do you think? Are emotions a curse as much as they are gifts?

>>1 of course. But so are most good things, everything is a poison if you have enough of it. I try my best not to act on my emotions because I could end up regretting it but at the same time act on them when it's necessary.

What a sincerely mature response. It seems the seams burst with little variety on my behalf, of course. I'm rather pessemistic at times, and otherwise apathetic when it comes to these sort of things. I think it's necessary for me to be reminded of how good some things can be.

So, I don't know, but I guess telling how I go about it counts and on-topic (it just feels so selfcentered that I hate it).
I am dull on the outside. Almost nothing gets an emotional response from me or it is not visible to others and I am horrible at expressing my feelings. This is propably because I whished for it and now it is like I cannot go back.
It makes many things easier, but makes is harder for others to understand you. Also it can be quite sad to not be able to express yourself. I would not say it is better without emotions per se. A healthy mix is probably the way to go, I agree with >>2.
