Exam Season! (1)

1 Name: Nick : 2014-05-14 03:52 ID:pgXfjzDs [Del]

As that time comes near for us students, we all get that feeling deep inside of our stomach. A feeling of nervousness and 'why didn't I start studying sooner?' Some find it easy to cram in their studies the week before, while others where more prepared and began intensive studying a while back. For me, I've been preparing myself for the horror that is exam season for a few months now, but it never feels like enough.
While we may all be taking our exams at completely different times of the year and have to study a huge variety of areas, we all face that same fearful moment. The moment when you have to sit down at that squeeky table with not much more than a black ink pen and a scientific calulator, and face up to the booklet placed in front of you.
When you're half way through, you eventually realise 'hold on, this isn't as bad as I thought' and the adrenaline that was coursing your veins begins to diminish. You answer the examination's questions at what appears to be light speed, only taking breaks to attempt to massage your wrist and look over to see if the guy next to you can match up to your demi-god-like pace. The fact he's a little bit further than you dampens your confidence, but you reassure your confidence by thinking 'He probably got them all wrong anyway'.
There are now only 5 minutes left on the clock and you spend the first finishing your answer and the next three to read back through. The last minute you spend searching the room to see if certain people are missing, or if you can signal your friend without anyone noticing.
The exam is now over and you remember that one answer you spent 10 minutes frantically searching your mind for, but you gave in and left a witty comment like 'I don't know' and hope the examiner laughs. You know you can't do anything about it, so you watch as they take away your paper into the unknown where it will be converted into a series of numbers which are converted into a letter between A and G.
Now you must wait for the day that you find out if all your efforts to make your family proud at your wealth of knowledge were worth it, and hope you just don't get below a D.

Well I hope you liked my little (pretty long) story. I couldn't see a thread like this, and since its exam season over here, I thought this might be somdthing good to add. Feel free to talk about what exams you're taking, what you want to take, what you have taken, how you study, good ways to study, how to deal with exam stress, and anything else exam-seasom-related. Thanks for reading!
