Embarrassed and Depressed (5)

This was one of the days where I would prefer to hid myself in a box.

To begin with, I'm currently a civil engineering student in fact I have a total of five failed subjects for the record (those moments where either because of my addiction to some various things, been so dumb or teacher matters) but, now that I'm in my 3rd yr(hopefully 4th-yr nxt sem) this was the beginning of my amazement of how (strength of materials applies to real concept of structures my Professor told us that since civil is more of a general among specific discipline our's focuses towards structures). Then again I was depressed for today's midterm exams for summer class in fact 1 week prior to the exam date I did some necessary preparations and some cramming moments. So here's the real deal I was very cautious about reading the problems in fact to be honest I fully understand the concept, familiarized the formulas its just when i submitted my paper I later found out there were some errors in either simplifying, (radius=diameter?? wrong substitution leads to wrong answer)the bottom line I lack in analyzing some of the twist/tweaks of the problem so, I freak out well because last exam wasn't my best scores so assume to have better or even perfect scores of today's exams so that's it.

Second was I always project myself that I'm the smartest that was one of the things I've learned from my mom. I mean, I always stand for my own convictions for what I believe that is why most people would think I'm smart and I always settle for a discussion/proofs before I believe in your ideas, when in fact I also find it hard to comprehend with the topics discussed it's just there's a feeling of dismayed in both parties for myself, and from their assumptions like (Oh I think he definitely will have a good score for this one and that.... that....)

But since I speak out to this blog unknowingly i felt a bit relieved and I willing hear your thoughts how I can overcome these negativeness.

Thanks. |#

>>1 effort. Everything takes efforts. All skills take practice, you don't have to be naturally gifted or talented to excel, all you really need to do is out in the effort. An example from my own experience would be me with math, I'm not gifted, my parents aren't either, but I put in the effort to learn as best as I can and put in the effort and asked a lot of questions, now I'm in calculus.
You can research some methods to get you motivated and find what works for you, all you really need to do is put in the effort into studying. For me, I make detailed notes, use the reward system, stuff like that, and it helps.
I hope that this helps~! Good luck!
