I think I may have a problem... (5)

Okay. So I've come to the conclusion that I really dislike my friends. I can't afford to hang out with two of my friends because they go out and spend money like it's nothing. One of my other friends is terrible with his money, losing his job because most of the time he doesn't show up, losing his girlfriend because he breaks promises, lies to her, and is too self absorbed to treat her right. Another one of my friends is a complete idiot, completely lacks common sense, can't spell or string together a sentence that a normal person can understand when he types, blows everything out of proportion, constantly puts everyone down and is a total ass to everyone, and is arrogant about everything on top of it. Problem is up to this point they've always been there for me when I needed them and I'm always there for them no matter what, but it feels like I'm just putting up with them at this point and that I don't want to see or talk to them, and I've tried talking to them about the things that they do that piss me off and all it's done is make things worse. I don't know what to do and I'm hoping my fellow Dollars can help me out here.

Well... This is just my opinion but, friends should be able to distinguish their differences with each other. Meaning, if you try to talk to them about things they do that piss you off, they'll listen to you. Relationships do not only appear in romantic relations but also friendship. I've been in the same situation up until now, but my bestfriend and I have been able to put up because we understand and care for out friendship. So I suggest that you try to talk to them again, because from your words on the part that "they are there for you when you need them and vice versa", I think they're good friends, but you need to talk out your problems with each other. I hope this helps :)

Every time I try to talk to them about it they attack me calling me an idiot, or telling me I don't know what I'm talking about, and it's even gone as far as telling me that I'll never get anywhere in life, and it drives me nuts especially with the one friend because as he's telling me I'll never get anywhere in life I'm watching him destroy his. They are good friends when I need them but otherwise it seems like they're intolerable.

I agree, I've been in a similar position as you. If they wont take out the time to listen to you, then distance yourself from them for a time. If they care enough to ask why you're being apart from them, or ask you what's bothering you, say what's on your mind. You then could maybe give them the drive to want to listen to you instead of blowing you off. (Personally I would question my "friend" that said you'll never get anywhere in life)
