I've always had a problem with talking too much, talking too loud, and never shutting the hell up. It's almost as if I have no filter. I want to be able to think before I speak sometimes, but for some reason, I can't do that before I spout out whatever happens to come to mind no matter what it is. Also, I can never answer a question with a simple answer. I always have to go into detail about why I chose the answer I did. Whenever I do this and people get mad, I tell them I can't help it and they all say "Yes, you can. You just like being annoying." I really can't help it and sometimes I can't stand it. Most of the time I don't mind and I don't worry because I know it's natural and people will just have to deal, but is there a way to turn it off when I need to? Does anyone else do this?

I have 0 volume control when I'm excited or passionate about something I just get louder and louder, I want to be quieter. My friends say I'm 50% quiet and 50% loud and I don't have much of an in between

>>1 I get this way when I'm excited and sometimes it seems as though I'm annoying my friend...
I used to be way worse in middle school but after being told I was annoying so many times I became afraid of talking and slowly turned into a very shy and quiet girl.
I developed a bit of a complex, but I think that you should just be more aware of what you're saying, quality of what you're saying over the amount of what you're saying. Social skills can improve with practice, you could also practice in the mirror. Just work on getting your point across in fewer words, that should help.

I'm a very sky person, so I don't know i this'll help at all, but, maybe you could try something like this.
Whenever you want to say something, no matter what it is, from answering a question to starting up a conversation, try and pause, try and stop yourself from saying anything, and instead, take a moment to think, 'What do I want to say?', and then once you've answered that, or thought about it, then open you mouth and say something.
I know it'll probably be hard, but if you keep working at it, even if you only remember half of the time, it might slowly help you.

Always. Don't worry, there are others like you. On the Internet there's such thing as a backspace button and a delete button. Real life? No such thing. That's why I always feel like giving myself a punch on the face.
How I fixed it was I kept myself busy. I did all my homework early, read a bunch of books, played on video games a lot. It helped stimulate myself. Even if my family says I'm addicted I did it to shut the trap they hated. I don't have any other advice than that. Good luck, Kid Kit!

>>3 I get you soo much! Or maybe not... well I don't care if someone calls me annoying, I'm used to that because I do talk to much, but the one thing I really can't get over is when someone tells me "I don't care" when I'm talking about something I really love, THAT's the reason why I turned all shy and quiet in real life...
