Guys, I'm really lost on what I should do. I'll not pretend to be an avid member of the Dollars, but I know that this forum is a place that I can go to in times of confusion and of desperation.

I'm gay, I'll say it simply. My mother knows, my father doesn't. That's not what matters, though, because what matters is the boy who shall be known only as Dave.

Dave and I have had some...intimate encounters over the years. I don't know if he's bi, or gay, or what, but as far as I know, he hasn't expressed these feelings to anyone but me. He's cheated on his girlfriend with me a few times, and as a firm believer in monogamy, I feel like a complete shit every time he does it.

I really like him. I know it's stupid and risky but I don't know what I should do. Should I ask him out, or is his girlfriend, whom he *seems* to be in love with, standing between us? I know I should never ask him to leave his girlfriend for me but I can't help but think something else is going on here.

Please help me, Dollars. I need you guys.

I can't tell how serious this is because of the Homestuck names. But I'll throw my two cents. I say ask him what it is HE wants exactly before you do anything. Once you get an answer maybe you'l better have an idea on what to do.

Atm this sounds kinda like he wants to have both. Her as a main and you as a side.

This is a serious thing, I've just been reading a lot of Homestuck and my fandom got the better of me haha.

I guess I'll talk to him sometime soon, when I get the chance. It's probably gonna be awkward as hell but I guess things will work out the way they're supposed to. Thanks for the advice

From what you're saying, I'm starting to believe that your friend is confused. I mean, you've already said you're gay, so maybe you can't relate to this, but think about the fact that someone, be it a guy or a girl, is living their normal hererosexual life, but one day they come over someone of the same sex and "they start having feelings for them". I think it would be confusing at the beginning. My idea is that you should definitely talk to him and ask him whether he feels strange about everything or not. For me it's certain that he didn't feel strange if he already did some things with you,so maybe he does have some feelings for you. Anyway, good luck and be confident. Fight for what you believe in.

i think maby you should talk to him about this, try to be under standing that he might be confused. give him time to think about wheather he is gay or straight.
