Logical or paranormal? (9)

Okay, so this happens very infrequently. My bed will randomly start shaking. And NO I am NOT making this up. I tend to lean towards a more logical reason, but I want some input. Circumstances of the phenomenon: My house is around a century old. It occurs between 8 and 11:30 at most. Only happened once during the early hours and never in daylight. So all of a sudden I'll be laying down and it'll start shaking. This has happened a total of about 6 times, all at apart from one another. It does happen in the summer too, so I know it's not the snow plows. I also live in the city, if that accounts for anything. I'm pretty sure it's not a truck bc I have really good hearing, so I would hear something like that. Last night it happened, and it only ever happens in MY room (of course), and I found evidence that I'm not imagining it. My door started shaking as well, and that got me outta bed faster than you can say "it." And I'm not on any meds, so I'm not hallucinating. I've checked earthquake and tremor reports, and there never are none. To put it accurately, it feels as though someone is either kneeing or rocking my bed. And lat night it was my door as well. The only other thing I can think of is the old unused chimney that runs through my room. However, it would be felt downstairs as well right, bc it runs through there too. But no, it's only MY ROOM. And my corner of the house is sinking a tad, but like I said b4, it should be felt downstairs too. But it isn't. So PLEASE help, I just want this to be over with!! ~Thanks in advance, mina :)

Video camera time! Set it up around the approximate, sleep in another room for the night. See if you catch anything paranormal on video. See if it happens when you're not in the bed for the night. Good luck!

thats creepy!! 0.0 as >>2 said, try sleeping in a diff room. but hey, just in case this IS something paranormal, you know what the best way to deal with it is!~ HUMOR. haha DONT get all freaked out and paranoid and dont start acting like the people in movies. if it really is a spirit, just ignore it. it has no reason to harm you and if you are hilariously oblivious what can it do? dont look at it, dont think about it. just close your eyes and laugh. that'll really confuse it and itll move on eventually. basically, do the unexpected. treat it like a comedy

does the floor shake as well? It could be structural damage to your house. It is a century old... If it is, that's a real problem. Has your bed or door ever been moved out of place by the tremors or anything knocked down? Has anyone else in your house seen the door or bed shake as well? If yes to any of these questions, then it rules of the possibility of hallucinations. If they're all No, then you could be hallucinating. When this happens, do you see, hear, smell or feel anything different? Do you ever have a headache before, during, or after the tremors? hallucinations aren't just reactions to medications. I'm not a doctor, but if you see, hear, smell, or feel anything out of the ordinary only when these happen or you have a headache around the time of the tremors, you could have a neurological problem in which case you may want to see a doctor. A simple way to narrow down your possibilities is go on vacation. If you experience the same thing in a different house, chances are you are hallucinating. If you don't, and you come back and it continues to happen, you may want to consider getting your house checked for structural damage. If there is none, have a priest bless your house fill it with dream catchers, and hope this spirit doesnt decide to make your house fall apart.

No one has seen my bed shake, except for the time my door also shook; my parents saw that. My cat slept under my bed last night, and nothing happened. But >>7 Next time I sleep over @ a friends I will be sure to check :) Also, I have break coming up, so I will be sure to go on some sort of a vacation! Thank you soo much for your advice!!

>>7 Dream catchers are made catch nightmares, not ghosts.

If you want to go the religious route: Get a priest's blessing, put a line of holy water at all entrances of the house, and put an iron or tin cross in the most heavily affected areas.

If you want to go the spiritualist route: Walk along the perimeter of every room while burning dried sage, put a thick line of sea salt or rock salt at every entrance, and burn incense in the most heavily affected areas (this will also help get the pot smell out since sage smells really bad and your parents might misunderstand).

I'm not gonna comment on the OP since you seem to know what you want to do; I was just extending off what Xenon said >>7.
