How to "Control" Your Anger (7)

1 Name: Midori !XvqOrmXVo2 : 2013-12-26 23:50 ID:eLkieBwN [Del]

Okay so I'm having a bit of an issue that started a few months ago. Usually I'm very nice and outgoing, I never really get angry at people unless there is a REALLY good reason behind it and I'm a pacifist. Lately, however, there have just been thousands of things that have been pissing me off. It's not like I'm getting a little angry and just need to chill out, I actually feel as though I need to beat the crap out of something and scream at the top of my lungs until I break my hands and lose my voice. I haven't had a completely bad or completely good life but I used to, instead of feeling anger and sadness I would always just feel numb and I would cut (like all the other teenagers in the world) just so I could actually FEEL something and I stopped eating for a while too in case that might have had some effects on my mood/mental reactions? But I made a pact with a friend and haven't cut for several months and have done my best to eat normally. The problem started a little after I stopped cutting and a bit after I ended this thing I had with someone who broke my heart (yes, it was very painful). Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to get rid of my anger and not feel like punching someone in the face or if you have any other ideas as to why I've become so unstable all of the sudden. Thank you<3 btw if you post hate I really don't care so don't waste your time and please just post actual suggestions, thank you!

Write angry letters and then throw them away. I write stories and yes they're tragic and that's how I deal with my repressed angry. Research some anger management skills and try different ones to see what's best for you, like breathing techniques that can help you calm down. I hope that helps! :3

With how much anger you seem to have stored up, I suggest that...like Neko-tama said, write angry letters and throw them away. Personally I'd burn them just so I don't see them ever again. I'd also recommend maybe keeping a journal of some type, write in it whenever you are feeling angry and get everything out. It doesn't matter what it is, just write about it. Also, if it's someone you're angry at or just need something to yell at. Sit a chair infront of you (empty) and just yell at it. Get all that anger and aggression out. Also going to the gym is a good way to let anger out, put all of it into running or boxing...maybe just going for a walk would help. I hope these ideas will help you, I know a few of them have helped me out in the past.

Personally, I have been told that I have great tolerance (with people, not drinking) and can usually keep calm when others go nuts. I can have an annoying person drag me across the floor and I don't care. But everyone has times when they're just pissed off. I find writing and art a good outlet. It's kinda like what Neko-tama said, and it really does help. I always put that person in a story or drawing and have something really terrible happen to them, then just delete or burn it.

The key is really pride. Learn to set your pride aside and to stop and think.
