I'm really sick of my sister telling me off of all the anime stuff I have been getting though the years. I only have a 4 piece figure collection, 2 posters, 2 cosplay outfits and a pair of cosplay jackets. I work really hard to get those by saving my allowance and not shopping alot in the mall but my sister thinks it's wierd! So says it's "junky" stuff and dosn't understand why i need it. To some extent i get what she's saying but I'm the younger one so i want to do what my interest is. The main thing I'm mad about is that she's a HIPPOCRATE!!! She always buys concert tickets and has a HUGE collection of one direction items.

I'm talking magazines, cups, key chains, lanyards, sticker and even the perfume! I never said one thing to her, in fact I always encourage her because she at her happiest when she's like that. I have to make her food, do her chore and help her buy stuff/fast food and I barely complain about it. The only time I complain about it is when she doesn't pay me back in time. And these things I do for her, she never asks me to do it, I do it FOR HER. Because I understand how stressful high school can be as a senior and she still doesn't know what she wants to be after high school.

I just wish she would stop calling my stuff weird and pointless and let me enjoy what I'm doing cause chances are we are going to get tired of these hobbies someday so I want to cherish my interest in them for as long as they stay. I told her to stop multiple time but she always replies "why?" or she still keeps going. Plus if i say it to much we get into a argument and she'll always win because she's the big sister. I just don't know if i have the right to be mad at her. I don't know if i'm being childish/selfish or expressing my true feelings. I mean I don't want to get into a war with her because she helps me be more open since I'm isolated and non-talkative and comes up with wacky ways to have fun.

Most anime lovers have to deal with family members and other people who think anime is weird. Let them think it's weird, they'll never understand and you know what? That's fine. We have our hobbies and they have their's so don't let it bother you so much okay? People will always judge anime but they'll never understand how awesome it is, so just let haters be haters and don't let it get to you! :3

next time she rips on ur stuff, breathe deeply and then calmly but firmly tell her to cut it out because its rude and you dont do it to her. also tell her that just because she isnt into anime, doesnt mean it isnt very important to you and that she should respect that. if she doesnt like anime thats fine but she shouldnt rip on you.

I guess I should feel lucky that most of my family loves anime. I guess all I can say is just let it go and watch your anime proudly and just tune her out. THE ANIME IS YOUR FRIEND, EMBRASE IT! and stress in high school is no excyse to be a total ass. YOUNGER SIBLINGS UNITE!!
