Hello, I recently broke up with a guy, and I still had liked him after things ended. So we still talked. One day a friend asks him about me, and he says he pitys me, feels bad about me, says im naive, and annoying.... I feel ashamed, that i liked him, let him be my first kiss, and just being associated with him. Now alot of my friends are becoming his friend and telling me to be his friend, when to be honest, its painful being in the same school/hallway together. I dont wanna be rude or prude or mean about things, but i tell them i want no part of him. Im trying to move on and forget.... any ideas on how to just make ppl stop? and to just let him go?

you shouldn't have to explain your actions to them. If you can't be around him then that is your choice, he sounds to me like a toxic person for saying such hurtful things, and you don't need to feel bad for associating with him in the first place. Everyone has dated someone and realized they aren't who they thought they were, it is NOTHING to be ashamed of.
you are not being rude or mean for refusing to be around him, it hurts you, and your well being is what is important.
