Alright, so lately I have been reading comments on Facebook, YouTube, and so on saying that Americans are all fat and stupid. Usually, I'd just ignore it. It's only the internet,yeah? But, I have been seeing it a lot more than usual recently and it's just making me angry. Yes, a large percentage of us are obese and a lot of people aren't the smartest, but it doesn't mean that all Americans are! People are just so rude and hateful, my goodness. I mean, if I were ignorant enough to say something stereotypical and rude about YOUR country, wouldn't you get mad as well?

What do you guys think of others bashing your own country?

I agree to an extent, but 99% is sattirical, meaning it is mockery used to encourage another away from something unhealthy. I for one kind of agree, though I am a beanpole and a genius (not meaning to toot my own horn). But almost everyone I see around me fits that bill, and I'm sad to say its really happening.

I too am an american, and the only reason that it bothers me, is because they insult me as well as those they refer to.

did you know that positivity cancels out negativity? in other words try thinking about positive thing about Americans not negative thing.

I live in Italy. Apparently italians are all lazy people, idiots, only being able to cook, Berlusconi or Schettino like, wussies, "Mama Lucia and Luigi's Pizza", "It's a meee Mario", rapists, Christian bigots and, worst of all, mafia related.
I don't know you, but I have enough confidence in myself that i don't care If the whole world depicts me and my people as cold murderers, members of an organisation violently against society and government that avoids taxes and plays the "Bella Vita". Because I know who I am.
Are you fat? Well, it's your health problem or your own choice of not to get on diet.
People call you stupid? Who cares? I know I'm not stupid.

Humans are incredibly offensive by nature. Until you grow a fucking sense of humour and learn to not take everything about yourself so damn seriously, you are going to have trouble dealing with most of the outside world.
