I did control-F and couldn't find what I was looking for so I've decided to make one.

Basicly this thread is for anyone who needs help coming up with an excuse! So to start off...

I need an excuse for not talking tomorrow during school. Its not that i'm trying to avoid talking to someone, I just don't want to talk tomorrow. I just transfered to this school and I don't want people to think I'm trying to be rude. I've already made some friend so I don't want to push them away or anything. Also I don't want to use laryngitis as an excuse . Can anyone help?

thats a terrible idea, dont make up excuses to try and get out of things, stand up to your problems.

>>1 Keep a sign on you that says:

"Today is a day of silence in respect for those of my people who have passed in the genocides of recent days as well as a day to contemplate the revenge plan with the highest probable success rate.

"(But really, my throat just hurts and I don't feel like talking. Will pay for cough drops.)"

/shot.
But really, just don't go out of your way to talk to anyone and they prolly won't go out of their way to talk to you.

>>5 lol When I was new in class, all I wanted to stay invisible. I didn't like being popular, but my classmates though the other. So they started talking to me. It was that time when I stopped being shy and I became cheerful and greeting everyone ^^ Now I'm befriending everyone I met. Give it a try.
It might be a happy story for you too.

Or, if you still don't want to talk to them, trust me: one day you'll have. But you can dress all black and pretend to comemorate something. Or someone. Dunno. BUT, it is not going to work if you have school uniform hahaha

So, my advice is to go and talk to them. You'll met good friends and it will be better for you to be a positive-thinking-person.

Serious: My coworkers are having a get-together at a bar. Now it's the day of the event, and I really really don't want to go. But you can't just say "I don't want to go", right? It makes you look bad and unsociable. So my excuse was that I had just got an interview planned tomorrow morning. Sounds believable; you wouldn't want to be at a bar late at night the day before your interview.

Comedic: I was working in China and I decided to quit my job. The parents of my students however, demanded an explanation from my boss. When he asked me what he should say, I told him to say that I was getting married in America. It was better than saying "Well I'm quitting because this company has made losses for three straight years, and everyone's abandoning ship as fast as they can."

Another one was for a sick day. My boss and I were pretty cool, so when he asked what I was sick from I told him that it was because of the traditional Snake-Handling Saturdays at the local church, and I got bit so I haven't been feeling well (I didn't think he'd actually tell them that though; my kids came in to class and immediately started asking me where the bite was).
