Why do women...? (29)

1 Name: Robo40 : 2013-09-14 20:11 ID:96Dn5GqT [Del]

Lately I've been really confused when it comes to the opposite sex.So I decided to create a thread that talks all about the questions that can never seem to be fully answered.I want to finally get some clear answers as to why females do what they do!

Note:Just to make this clear this thread is for everyone(not just males...in fact it'd be better if actual females answered these questions and gave there opinions, because it's about them)

Also any immature or sexist comments are not allowed. This thread was not made for arguing.I made this thread so that both males and females can truly come to understand one another!

If you have any questions on females and they're not negative or biased or sexist then fire away!

So in other words you're looking to analyze popular western-society feminine culture, right? Because saying that "women are an enigma to men" is a pretty harsh stereotype itself.

No no no nothing like that.I'm not trying to make this seem like a problem or conundrum or anything complicated.I simply want to discuss or find out a few questions that I or someone else might not get or understand about females.
To gain knowledge on them in a meaningful way :)

Lol sure, I like this idea so I'll be here to answer whatever I can (^o^)/ also just keep in mind that not all females are the same (same thing goes for males.)

FYI i am female. i see what you mean to say. you are just confused by females by the things we do. your not trying to be sexist or start a fight about who is better. but just want to ask questions. ok. i can respect them. i know how you feel. sometimes i wonder about guys and why they do the things they do. it's ok i think its natural. if you or nay one else was a question ask away. p.s. if you ask something i find wrong to ask i wont answer then.

Not all women are the same. They're not all difficult to understand. We don't hold some kind of secret double standard that only the Society of Pussy Bearers can fully comprehend. Just because you're female doesn't mean you're on some kind of higher plane of existence with every other female, a plane which gives you the ability to delve into the mind of any living thing; I couldn't tell you what another chick was thinking just as much as I couldn't tell you what another guy was thinking. It all depends on how well you know the person, as well as how open minded you are.

The trouble comes when people close off their mind to the obvious because they're too caught up in a stereotype. Some people say they can't understand blacks because they're too racist to step back and look at them as a person instead of looking at them for their race. Some people claim to not comprehend children because they can't step back and look at their lives rather than their ages.

In this case, we're talking about men who can't step back and see a woman as a person rather than some piece of complex machinery whose programming language they'll never fully understand. It's because of this ongoing stereotype that women are some complex higher being that only other women can understand.

Maybe the reason you don't understand "why women do" this or that is because you're looking at their gender rather than their life? Perhaps you're passing judgement on them based on the collection of things that you've seen females do rather than... you know, just basing your opinion about each girl on what they've said, done, and been through as an individual human being? Just sayin'.

And yes, I know that not all men think that way, and I also know that there are some women who purposely reinforce those stereotypes. >>15 just doesn't go into that end of it.

>>15 Society of Pussy Bearers. That's fucking amazing.

I don't really understand gender roles as a whole. I get the whole gender thing as a means to procreate, but I don't understand why certain genders are assigned certain positions in our society.
And I agree with Barabi, don't generalise questions toward women. Aim your questions specifically at people, men or women, with the same experiences as your subject, because we make up more than half of the population and that's a lot of area to cover with a single question.

>>15 Society of Pussy Bearers lol
Everyone(and that includes both genders) acts whatever they want to just because they have their reasons to. And stop looking at women like there is a damn huge gap between males and females. Why can't there be just humans? Well, that's my question.
Women have their motifs, men have theirs, but in the end everyone is just him/herself.
What exactly is your question? I, for one, don't understand why boys give girls compliments. I know it's nice to say a few and well-founded compliments but this statement:
"-You look beautiful today"(he says)
"-Oh, was I ugly yesterday?"(my answer)
it's just plain weird. And they are asking why I am sarcastic-_-

Most girls are very, very, very insecure...... Compliments help but we all have a hard time believing them (girls tell other girls they look good then gossip later how ugly that girl was) frankly I love compliments >\\\< lol if that's not the case and they end up freaking out about it.... It's moodiness...or pms X3 so don't take it heart ^.^

Hmmm...I think I'm starting to understand more about what you are all saying. And thank you BarabiSama, what you said on >>15 was well put.

I'm starting to think that maybe making this thread was kinda dumb.I think deep down I was trying to put together some sort of ultimate answer that would help me fully uncover every individual's brain an inner thoughts.Never fully realizing that maybe this isn't as complicated as I'm making it out to be...

22 Name: Robo40 : 2013-09-16 20:32 ID:96Dn5GqT [Del]

...either way let me know if this thread should stay for
further comments or questions or go because there's no
real need for this anymore.
(or so I think)

>>15 Great explanation, BarabiSama. Just what this thread needed.
I have one point to add, though: While one gender is by no means superior to another, there are differences which might be hard to comprehend for the opposite gender. I'm thinking about how a father-to-be feels during his partner's pregnancy or how a woman experiences mood swings when she has her period.
There are some situations in life you'll look at from an evidently gender-related point of view, be it due to our biological sex or due to the social role concepts we're all caught up in.

To make communication between genders easier, we should either keep this thread and include questions from females to males or make a new thread which incorporates this idea, unless such a thread has already been created before.

>>22 I agree with >>23 in that there should be a new thread which encompasses both genders.
