ADD was invented to sell drugs to kids now stop whining and do your work. If you can focus long enough to make a post, you can focus long enough to do your work.

Set a reward for finishing your homework. you'll buy yourself some ice cream, or take breaks during, but only after you set the time for homework and the time for breaks. I understand it's easy to get off task, but don't give up!

>>4 Rewards are a great idea ^^ like I make sure I do a good portion of my homework before going on Facebook but only for 10 minutes then I get back to work. Sometimes I'll watch an episode on anime and then get back to work. Hope that helps! :3

>>7 Whether the disease itself is fake or not, he's got a problem with his concentration and determination, which is completely normal. There's nothing wrong with helping him out whether you like the term he used in the OP to describe himself or not.

I believe that knowledge itself should be a sufficient incentive for you to do your homework.
Sadly, not all institutions of education these days provide wisdom. If you have good instructors, the chances are you'll come out a better person from doing your homework. If not, then the paperwork is just their because the teachers are doing their job to keep you busy.
Regardless, doing your schoolwork will make it much easier to move up in society even if you end up not learning anything.

Homework generally won't teach you anything important. The only reason you should do it is to get good grades, if you want them.

That's my way of motivating you - with honesty. Don't let people (*cough>>10cough*) try to tell you that homework is the basis of your life and will make you a better person or give you a bette rlife, because frankly, it's not, and it won't. It's a pointless waste of time designed to give teachers less work in the classroom and/or to help you remember content that you won't need outside of your next test.

You should do it anyway, though, to keep your grades up so that your parents and teachers don't bitch and whine and moan. Do it to make your life easier, not because you're under the impression that it will make you a better person.

Give yourself a set time to work on it and always work on it at that time each day. It helps a lot. I personally choose to wake up one to two hours early before school and work on it then because I'm a morning person and then it also got me in the mood for work before I even got to school. It's a bad idea to set the time directly before going to bed, though, because you're more likely to put it off if you're tired.

Frankly, I think homework is important. Doing homework makes you "repeat" all the things you already studied at school, because they're kinda related... It can be a help in studying without forget everything. Doing homework also teaches you to respect deadlines and to give your best whenever someone request you something to do... Homework anticipates you to the world of work. When, one day, you'd get a job, you'll have to work hard and good not because of grades, but because you get fired if you keep making mistakes. I hope it's clear enough. D:

Thanks, that was funny and encouraging. I don't care what people call my inability to concentrate on my work(I'm just a procrastinator), people will always want me to do it. One day I might have things together but I'm not really good at thinking ahead. I don't care most of the time but this helped. Watch! I'm gunna be a geNiuuous! I'll get back to you when I am!
