As you've seen, a lot of our members are not in the greatest situation. A lot are coming out of the closet or are trying to deal with bad home life situations. Some are just stressed because of school, work, friends, relationships, etc. No matter the problem, everybody needs someone to talk to, but not everyone has someone who will listen. Not everyone wants to talk about their problems publicly on the site either.

I know quite few members of the Dollars are willing to listen. Now that we've gotten to between ten and fifteen threads of people just posting their email without any real discussion in the thread, I decided to combine them into one resource thread of people our members can talk to.

If you're one of the people willing to listen, then you're welcome to post an email address or a username to another site here. Please also include a little blurb about yourself and your experiences as well as what your limits are regarding what you will/won't talk about to make sure everyone finds the right person to talk to. Also, include your gender as some people are more comfortable talking to people of a specific gender about certain problems.

I am a 24 Male who lives in the US. But rather than thinking of that fact as a crippling sort of thing, I think because of that I was able to help people so much more. It's hard to explain really, but I've "set up" people or "fixed" relationships based on my knowledge of not having one (if that makes sense.) I'm a medical student - so not a qualified doctor yet, but if you need a medical perspective on anything - your mood changes, your dieting, your weird lumps - then shoot me an email.
I'm free to talk about pretty much anything, but I think I should state my areas of expertise (i.e. things I've actually done research into/have experience in.)
1. Relationships: Been in a few. Counselled a few people on theirs too. Done a lot of reading up on the science of love if you're into that.
2. Sexual disorders and sexuality in general: I know too much about it. If you think you have a weird fetish, feel free to ask about it. If you're confused about your sexual orientation, I can probably help too.
3. Religion: I'm a christian, so if you want to share about other religions I'll be pretty interested. Or if you want to talk about why you disagree with me, that's cool too.
4. Study tips: Got plenty. Med school is cray.
5. Depression/suicide/self harm: This is a bit personal to me, but I'll be willing to share my own experiences if you want some perspective, and I'll definitely make time to chat to anyone else who is struggling with this, because I know how serious it is.
6. Writing: If you need editing for any stories, I'm here. I've edited a book that is soon to be published - although that isn't much to brag about because the writer himself is pretty damn good anyway. Just stating that I have experience and I will be harsh but I will be helpful.

I'll be straight here - I've lived a pretty good life, and I'm really thankful for it. But that doesn't mean I'm not aware that plenty of other people aren't living such a good life.

My dream job would be a therapist/counselor person for teens and young adults. I want to help people with their problems. I love doing it. I may not be very good at it, but I want to be. It's weird and cheesy to say (one of my closer friends says I'm "full of cheese", but at least it's sincere) but I, on some level, care about everybody. If you're willing to open up to me, even just little bit, I'd do my best to try and make you feel a bit better, love yourself a bit more, and know that someone, somewhere, cares about you. I do, on some level. Maybe not as much as my sister or my friends, but I still wish the best for you.

Another thing: I'm proud to say I'm a Christian. However - that does not mean I'm going to push my religion down anyone's throats or mistreat any LGBTs. That's completely wrong. The point of Christianity is to love everyone despite their wrongs and sins because we all wrong and sin. Whether you're gay, transexual, experimenting, Muslim, atheist, agnostic, whatever, we're supposed to love you and treat you kindly.
And that's what I'll do.

There is absolutely no reason to mistreat someone because of their orientation, race, religion, etc. None. And I'm sorry if you've had to deal with that.

My story is really screwed up. I have been through, and still struggle with, depression and extreme anxiety. My anxiety isn't the typical type, though. While I do get anxious around people, my main anxiety is about money. I fight with myself a lot about it. But, I'm coping. I can help you cope with your problems, too.
I've always been extremely honest with people. It can make them mad, and they leave. Or it can make them happy (in a sense) and they thank me. Which ever happens, I know that what I say will at least make you THINK.

Lately, things have been a little frustrating for me. My great grandfather has died and someone I know was attacked by their mother. The hardest thing is that I couldn't do much to help her out. I'm still in the closet and surrounded with my family stating that it isn't a good thing to be bisexual or gay. I'm trying to make the best of everything- I'm talking with my girlfriend and trying to live my life with a smile. I refuse to give up. I use to take stress medicine, so |I most definitely am here if you need to talk about something you are stressed about. You know. I've been thinking about having a relationship.

But I live a mostly solitary life. I don't know how or if it's even possible to share my life with someone else right now.

I spend five days a week mostly doing photography at school or in the city.

A lot of times I'm hanging out on the roof tops of buildings or sometimes cranes. (which I very much love to do)

On the weekends I have band practice. And I don't particularly have a nice "home" for anyone to hang out at.

Money isn't that big of an issue. I can pay for dinner and drinks every once and a while. Plus I can invite people to my shows for free. Most of them are free anyway lol.

Still I feel like it's not enough. Like it has to be more amazing in order for someone to want to hang out with me most of the time.

I am seventeen years old girl that are willing to hear any trouble. No problem are stupid or unimportant because sometimes it can lead to a bigger mess. Or even when you're lonely and need to talk to someone. No worries because I am lonely too..

I never had much experiences other than being a good listener to my friend's trouble. Somehow, friends keep searching for me to tell any problem and actually I'm really happy that I can do something because I do not have money or brain to contribute much to society except for this tiny little heart and a pair of ears.

I do not have any prejudice, racism, discrimination or hate at any religion, races, genders or even sexuality. I do not care at all. Hate would only breeds more hate. What I want is to spread more love to everyone and do my best to show that there are still hope in this world.

I know that feeling because I also have experience the same things before and it took me 3 days to gather my courage. And 5 days just to finish 1 email.

P/S: The only thing that people should worried about me is my lack of knowledge of any movies, dramas, books or songs.
