I got my mom to watch GitS and Casshern Sins, and she used to watch Sailor Moon with me when I was younger. She doesn't hate them but isn't into them. The scenes that are in anime are awkward, too, so I can't watch much with her. My stepdad hates anime because he feels it has "fake" and therefore "shitty" animation since it's not done by hand -cough-.

I'm still kind of debating whether or not this belongs here, though. Sure it's talking about your parents, but if it's strictly about their reactions to animated shows, wouldn't it go in Animation? :l
