Hey Dollars, I need advice. I have never been good at socialising with other people irl, but I'm really talkative online. Since I want to change my life style, I need help on socialising irl. Any tips? Thank yoou! c:

Be yourself, but know where to use tact. It seems really cliche, but sometimes you can only make friends with someone by acting a certain way, but in the end it won't be the kind of people you want to spend time with. However, too much "unique" to someone you've hardly ever spoken to before tends to be intimidating. Overall, just relax and over time you'll learn what you want from people.

Also, socializing in person is obviously a different medium than anything strictly through text. Your behavior and body language can often tell more truths and lies than what you may bother to say.

Thank you Zecky-san~ :D I'll try to, but I'm usually quiet around people and everytime I try to come up with conversations with other people, it usually ends early..

I'm the same way. My solution was to find people who had similar interests & hang out around them & join their conversations. If there's a club around for something you're interested in, join it. In my experience, the big thing about being sociable irl to know people with whom to discuss things you really care about.

Sometimes it is hard to socialise with people in a big group so maybe try talking one on one? Smile alot and let people know your friendly(body language is important cause people don't want to talk to someone who looks like they are "closed" to the world). If you are running out of things to say or the convo is ending early say bye... after all Friends aren't made in a day.

It's hard talking to people you don't know(trust me),but you should try talking about things you like and then someone's bound to join you and it'll be easier talking to them.
