Is It Just...? (14)

Okay... So my friend got cyber-bullied. Last Feb--no , January. And she became depressed. So her classmates escorted her to the guidance counselor because they felt really her.

And she really wanted them to get expelled. And of course I want to get them expelled too. But they didn't and graduated high school.

Now would I be bad if I didn't want them to graduate? It's because of them that she suffered so much than she ever had. And I just watched because she said she didn't want me to get dragged into the mess.

I don't know what's the sane thing to do now that they graduated and think that they're not at fault.

It's cyber-bullying. All she had to do to escape "hardships" was block them.
I do not think they're school life should be affected from out of school bullying. If they really did that much, tell on the bullies parents or police.

>>2 She gave you no detail to believe that it wasn't a big deal. "Blocking" someone doesn't stop them from transferring pics, vids, slander, info or anything they might have to everyone else nor does it block them if they change their profile/number/ID/etc. Of course the subject isn't actually the bully nor the victim in this case, but bystander OP.

>>1 Expulsion is a pretty lofty punishment in most cases, so was the bullying severe enough to warrant it? Was there any other punishment they received instead? I don't know the details obviously, but has your friend gotten better? It's easy to get caught up in reciprocating something an eye for an eye, but which is really more important, their punishment or your friend's happiness. And come to know that they can never truly be one-and-the-same.

>>2 even if she blocked them, it still would continue...

>>3 She is better... but I just feel that she's letting them go because they're smart and popular unlike her. Anyways, I just don't want them to graduate thinking that they have prevailed even though they're at fault...

>>3 If they're transferring pictures, videos, or in slander, than you can call for police action. If not, then it's possible to block people in almost every current form of technology.

>>5 Shut the fuck up. That's beyond stupid.

>>7 No. It's really serious.
It's just as serious as cyber bullying.
They said mean, sexual things at me.
It made me feel uncomfortable and also scared.

I was cyber molested, and I survived.
I'm a hero.

Cyber bullying is a very broad term. What kind of cyber bullying are we really talking about here?

This thread seems to be pretty old for you to be bumping back to the top without updating with additional information.

Anyway, I think that you should really have thought what them not graduating would have done. You said that they were popular and smart, it still would have ruined their lives had they not finished school. Cyber-bullying is an easy things, humans also like to feel superior to one another, not saying they should have gotten away unscathed, just that they were just being normal, bitchy teenagers for wanting to target their peers in (what was for them) an easy fashion. I also don't get what you said when you implied they didn't stop even when she blocked them, how did they continue? I just feel like people take too much of cyberbullying all too seriously because it is new and it scares people.

no, they knew each other in real life....

i cant really go into much detail because it would involve naming and they might find this site..

they went anonymous in tumblr. i know this is a late reply... but yeah. the problem isnt still solved. they are still cross at each other. neither of them has the guts to apologize to each other...
