Hey everyone... I just needed to vent and I thought that since this thread is Personal, it would work. Anyways... My friend Nightpaw on the chat... he died recently in a car accident. I was told this just this morning around 4am... It hurt because I had slowly become consumed by other things in my life that I rarely went to talk to him anymore... I last talked to him about a week or two ago, and we had a fun chat session... but then I had to leave and I never went to talk to him later on because one of my other friends was on at the same time... I feel horrible because I had slowly stopped talking to him, and I didn't mean to... I... I just don't know what to do right now... I know he is in a better place now, but I still miss him... *sigh* I'll always remember him. I'll make a flipnote tribute and save it forever so I can honor his memory. I'm not looking for sympathy or pity, I just needed to vent. However, feel free to cmment on this if you want... I just needed to get this out..

It was a car crash, not suicide. I talk to my own flesh and blood once a year if they're lucky.

I'm sorry to hear that, the loss of a friend is always hard. Doesn't matter if you knew them personally or just really well over chat.

Death is sad, whatever the reason is. My grandfather died when I was not in my home country, so even though it was of natural cause I still felt it was something sad. I can understand your feeling of guilt because I too felt the same way, I kept blaming myself for not being able to see him during his last moments. But the thing is I could not help not coming home, the same way you could not help being there for that friend all the time. Magnolia had a point. It was not like your friend died because he had no one to turn to so he killed himself. Everyone has his own life, sometimes it can get overwhelming.

She only knew this oerson for a little while, so after a few months she will feel better. And then a few months from that she will feel even better. If time doesn't heal a wound then your not moving on by living your life and letting the time between the disaster and now to expand.
