I am attending a vocational training program... I FU--- HATE IT! Since I started the program has forced me to change my personality. I made a vow I would never let people tell me I can't wear nail polish, I can't have red hair like Axel, I can't express myself. I refuse to be a slave, I'm not your toy. No one controls me! Yet these people just keep trying to make me "like everyone else" I AM AXEL FARADAY! THIS IS MY BODY, MIND, SOUL, THIS IS MY LIFE AND I DECIDE MY FUTURE. I won't work at a place that suppresses my personality. I will not let some smart ass tell me my hair color determines if I am professional. I will dye my body rainbow if that pisses you off. I am not a puppet!
Please anyone have some advice? What sort of work place should I try to get hired in? Where can I work and have red hair? Where can I go where my work speaks for itself?

I know how you feel and I know it sucks but I guess these are the rules. If you don't fit in, talk to them, and tell them you're not okay with it and don't feel comfortable. If they still refuse to let you be YOURSELF I'd consider looking for something else. But as long as you look decent, they actually have no reason to tell you to change your looks. It's ridiculous, in my opinion, too. If you're a creative person I'd recommend you to look for a job where you can show your skills.

What do you do? Oftain times jobs where you have to interact with costomers or be in a buisiness setting have a silent dress code that you have to abide by. Try getting a job where you work more or less by yourself or in a small team.

At this point I "work" in the CPD ( central Processing department) of Hillcrest Hospital in the state of Ohio. My job is to follow some guy around while he delivers stuff to other parts of the building. I just follow. I don't do a damn thing, I have no sense of accomplishment from this and hate that. Plus it's not teaching me anything relevant. If I'm going to to be moved to the Cleveland Clinic then there I might actually be given something to do.

It's kind of silly to expect life to be some amazing adventure where everybody wants you to be free and your own thing. Too many people want you to be their thing. Unfortunately that means quite a lot of the time you have to suck it up and tread through the shit to reach the other side. Not telling you to give up, quite the oppisite. Search for the end of the shit just don't lie down whilst complaining and drown yourself in it.

Get a regular wig, and put it over your red hair.
Imagine your job as a "Second" you. A simple mask to work with. New dress, new wig, new mannerisms. When you put on the suit before work you'll look in the mirror and suddenly you're Axel the regular joe working. And when you get back from work on a friday, you'll take off your mask and become Axel, the real you for the rest of the weekend.
As for jobs where you can have whatever style you want - I know two, a hair specialist from salons, or a video game designer. Typically people who make video games all like the same stuff so you won't get any weird looks from the folks in the office.
That said, video game design is retardedly hard to break into since you've got some REALLY gifted people to compete against who've been working on stuff since they were 15.

Be an artist. They dont exactly have bosses and do whatever the hell they want and as long as it looks or sounds good they get payed.
