I am never one to go to a fortune teller. I personally don't quite understand things like that. But for the past weeks I have been waking up with sharp pain in my rib cage. When I would look at the bruises, it looked as someone was beating my sides. Knowing that I toss and turn I just assumed I wasn't sleeping right, but on my right rib cage I felt pain. It would only happen when I had nightmares....which were becoming often. So, for another bit of insight, I went to a fortune teller. I explained my situation to this man on the phone before I got to the place.
There was this man who greeted me into the room. The room smelled of Vanilla incense. I sat down, and looked around.
"Welcome. I have been expecting you."
(Sounds like a normal thing to say to ever customer.)
The man walked up with a chair, and stared at me. He was a little too close for comfort but I didn't mind. He grabbed my shoulder, and everything felt cold. I got shivers down my spine. My temperature went from normal to feeling like I was thrown into a deep freezer. When he let go, so did the cold.
"Oh my dear. You are truly special. Many need you, and yet you feel un-needed by everyone. You are quiet, attentive, tranquil, and friendly....on the outside."
"On...the outside?" (The hell does he mean by that? I thought about it more)
"I know nobody else will have felt, or told you this, but....you are a Human Deity. You have the power to soak up evil, sadness, and anxiety around you. Sadly, in return, your body takes all the built up anger, sorrow, and dark emotions from others, and causes you to lash out at yourself at night. This is what is causing your nightmares. Your right side of your body is strong enough to endure much of the darkness but lately it has been overloaded."
"I'm sorry, but I think your full of it. There's no way you can prove that." I got up to walk out, when he stood up and grabbed this small gong.
"Yumi, I remove the inner pain of your heart." He hit the gong softly. The sound was enough to make me fall to my knees.
My body couldn't move. What the hell was going on?
"What.....did you do?"
"I didn't do anything Yumi. This is your true being my dear. You soak up evil and sorrow around you. Whether you know it or not...this is who you are. You have people similar to you, but you would never know unless they told you. Just as I am telling you now. The sound coming from bells, and humming vibrations keep your body calm. You are feeling the sensation of all the pain and agony leaving your body. That is why your legs grew weak. You should be able to stand in a moment Yumi."
"My name is not Yumi." He grabbed my chin and kneel-ed before me.
"It is your name. Your deity name is Yumi. Yumi is "Dream" in Japanese. You inflict pain on yourself as you sleep. You need to figure out how to restrain your body so that you can properly sleep without harming yourself as you rest. Find happiness in music. The vibrations should help you....or listen to gongs, bells, and things that vibrate with symphony as I did just now. Until then, bide your time and hold out hope Yumi. You now know your fate."
"Your not making sense. I'm not paying for a horror story."
"Your not paying for anything at all. My telling for you is free of charge. You don'y have to come back, but remember what I have told you."
Weeks after that I came back to find out that the fortune teller is no longer there. He went to a different location and I have not seen him sense.
I realized that you should never think someone is lying because of what they say....sometimes you have to remove a lie you have attempted to live during your life.
