It's always really funny to me that people can't go out of their way to think from the perspective of another person, even the object of their affection, for two seconds. How selfish they can get when they romanticize their self-centered attitudes to the point of fetish-like obsession. That they believe desperation equates to genuine respect and admiration when all it really means is an unstable inability to cope.
Honestly, if you're incapable of these things, you don't deserve them in the first place. I'm rooting for her boyfriend or literally anyone else more than anything. Of course, what's more likely is that you're exaggerating, and you need to pull your head out of your ass before thinking you're making any progress in understanding your own feelings with this farcical train of thought.
