so..ok im 10 and i have a slight anger problem. i've tried many things to keep myself from yelling but its just pointless at times. my mom tends to tick me off so i end up yelling at her even for the smallest things. even if she jokes about something, i cant tell if shes joking or not so i just yell at her for her to stop.its a problem for me and i dont want to keep doing this. my brother is worse than me and he's already in trouble with the police for something so STUPID. my mom is in pain already because of that and i dont want to make it more painful for her. i dont want to go to a therapist cuz ovbiously i cant. besides, my moms already saving money and working hard so my brother can go to a therapist.this has happened at school before, too i've gotten behavior notifications for being violent and they counted that as "bullying" i wasnt even hitting anybody or even insulting them, the people at my schol are a-holes then, they tattertale on my for no freaking reason. please, if you know any way that i can keep myself from yelling or getting mad easily, please tell me, i cant keep living life like this anymore. i dont know what will become of me when im older then, or what my children will be like. help, help HELP!!! please please PLEASE

Have you ever tried breathing and thinking what would happen if you snapped? I have the same problem at home and I try to avoid getting into fights with my siblings or arguing with my parents since I don't want to make any of them sad. For your mom's jokes, just try to ignore it or laugh with her even though you don't know what the joke is, that usually works with my mom.

I know it's old but it's true: by that you realized that you have a problem you almost solved it. I think you only need to be aware of that you don't want to get angry and like that you could control yourself. I know it's not gona work at first but by time you always realize that what you do is not what you want to do but you can do what you want.

You know...You remind me of Shizu-chan!!xD
|Ahem~So...I think you should try taking some deep breaths before snapping or waiting for half an hour before you take any stupid decisions.Like, yelling at someone etc.And if someone is getting on your nerves, just ignore him/her.I know it's hard,I once had that kind of problem,too...But if you really try, then you'll be able to calm yourself down. That's what I think you should do.If you can't do that, then you should start listening to calming music and start meditating or taking up a hobby.I hope I helped!^_^

Don't be offended. I just take people as they are, so I don't have this problem. But yeah, if you feel it coming ask yourself if it's worth blowing over. Sometimes I just laugh just to shrug off the irk.

I have the same exact problem.I agree with the others, take a deep breath and try to calm down but if you can't calm down I'd suggest to write your feelings down. All I can say..

i've had anger problems for years but what i do to stay calm is to just ignore everything that makes me mad and think of something that makes me happy
