Why is it that whenever I watch anime one of the characters is always looking out the window bored and hoping that something exciting will happen? Now that I think about it, I am the same. I recently moved to a new town hoping for a change and something new; problem is, the 'new' is starting to ware off. I want something out of the ordinary to happen, something exciting to help me with my boring life. Anime is cool and mangas are fun, I like to cosplay but I'm not in a cosplay group. My friends aren't really hardcore cosplayers like I am so I kinda feel outside but not like an outcast. I know this sounds really cheesey but I want to go on an adventure, a journy to find myself and my center; I still don't really know me that well...

Make an adventure for yourself, it doesn't have to be some amazing thing you do to find yourself, just try something new. Get into a club at school, google 'strange hobbies' or 'interesting hobbies' or just 'hobbies' if you want. Try some out, just find something you enjoy doing. There is no real way to 'find yourself' except looking in the mirror. You already know who you are and you get to decide who you become so make that decision or just try something new. I personally recommend sightseeing. Take a car, bike, feet, whatever, and go places. Go everywhere you can - busy streets, mountainsides, wherever. It doesn't have to be a high-price vacation to another country, weekend day trips just an hour's drive away are among my favorite things. Bring a camera or journal if you want, recording what you see and how you feel about your surroundings. A kid I knew used to say: "Being inside all day makes you miss the whole great world!" Kids can be somewhat smart, even if that kid was a complete video-gaming hypocrite. You can see a lot of interesting things just by wandering around. Over time, you'll find out what you enjoy most and what's important to you. Hope that helps.

Life IS boring... It's not just boring, it's a BITCH! But, it's the price we pay for living in this awesome yet catastrophic world, so might as well shut up, keep your head high and enjoy the ride for as much as you can!

I think life is what you make of it. Enjoy the little things that vary from day to day. All I do is work everyday and occasionally go out fishin or chill with friends. Just make the best of it and it won't seem boring.

Also good luck on trying to find out who you are, and who you want to be, since I think everyone struggles doing that.

me too! i fell the same way but half the stuff they do in anime would probably have me killed, the real world isnt "scripted"

If life is that boring to you, then join a club or going to a sport, try something new, or act new. make life interesting by experiencing new things and letting people, ideas, and new things into you life.

If it kills you, than your life is not as boring as you thought.

Trying what people said is a good way to pass the time and discover the adventure in the little things
Now I may be inside as well and bored to hell for not going outside or visiting friends but at the same time I'm actually finding the real me
I write random stories to pass the time of how i wised to live and in time my life actually begins to go into that direction
you dont have to do this but maybe try to think of what you like and try it out maybe in time a message will come not in a note but in your heart

Life is boring, indeed it is. Try new things, or new ways to try old things. Even if you're bored of life, life will never be bored of you. Life plays games, you see? Some games are fun and fast, and some are short and boring. The trick to these games, is to figure out how to play. For you, life is playing a boring game, so beat this boring game by not being bored.

I just sit on the bench and then talk to myself "Boring~"
