1 Name: CeltysCat : 2013-01-11 18:35 ID:8Iy1IY94 [Del]

So, my friend Lea has a boyfriend Wissam. And he just happens to have a friend,K
lets call him K, who think's Im cute. Well,K is a junior/senior.
I am a freshman. I havent even met him but when I told my friend she freaked outbecause f the 2 to 3 year age diffrence.

So I just want to know, does age diffrence make a diffrence?

That's hard to say, I know a couple that are about ten years apart from each other, so I guess love doesn't really have to stay between certain age groups. If you like the person, I don't see much of a problem with age difference, besides differences In general maturity, but that goes for most couples anyway.

Love doesn't have an age limit; and 2 to 3 years difference is nothing. Go for it girl!

>>1 i say just be cautious. i say try a waiting period before doing anything drastic and if they cant wait then they obviously dont plan on spending the rest of their life with you. (worded that kinda badly but hopefully you see my point). also if it werent for the highschool part i dont see a problem with a 2-3 year difference.

Junior/Freshman is typically okay, but Senior/Freshman is very conditional.

I'm not to knowledgeable on American school terms so don't really know the ages but I really don't see the problem, I was seeing someone 4-5 years older than me at one point. Ironically id didn't work out because they were a massive child but that's beside the point. 2-3 years is nothing. I say go for it.

>2 to 3 year age difference
>worried

What? That's nothing :L And I don't see a problem with gaps in age, honestly; it's pretty normal for freshman girls to date senior boys, at least around here (the other way around is typically frowned upon, and I--admittedly--find any relationship with an older girl creepy, but that's just me), so I don't really see how it's a problem.

Then again, I'm also someone who thinks that a ten/fifteen year age difference isn't a big deal either, so my opinion is probably invalid

there's nothing really wrong with a freshman dating a junior/senior. (in my opinion).

the only thing i'd "worry" about is the difference in maturity level.

but yeah, like >>5 said, a senior and freshman together is gonna be conditional. so don't do anything illegal or bad @_@

and good luck ~

If you're a freshman you probably shouldn't be thinking too much about dating. Focus more on making friends and building a good base for the rest of highschool. And, honestly, most freshman (not making specific judgments on you because I don't know you) aren't mature enough to know what they want or to date. Take time to enjoy being a teenager without the worry of relationships.

I think a senior dating a freshman is a little bit weird. He'll only be around for the rest of this year so he probably won't be as committed as someone who would see you for the next year or two. And, from my personal experience, your case might be different, guys who go for girls that much younger normally do it because they can't get a girl their age to date them. I know there are exceptions and this might be one, but this is what I've noticed.

Well,... there is that statutory rape issue if he's 18..

>>10 If both parents are okay with it, then I doubt it'll be reported :I Statutory rape is really only a problem when you have parents/siblings/teachers who are really gung-ho about it.

Thanks to all

And on the maturity thing,I am very mature for my age when I want to be.Lea,who is a year older than me,yells at me to talk dumber so that she can understand. Alot of my frieds yell at me for that at times...

And as for the "taking advantge thing" Lea set him up with a girl once, and she just leaned over and shover her tounge in his mouth and he freaked. he's more of an emotional guy than a physical one. I'm just concerned that we might get a reaction from people around us or that the age diffrence would cause some trouble too.

"Wordy" doesn't equal "mature", so still be careful.

Honestly, any guy would be bothered by that if there wasn't a mood or anything that led up to it, justsome random chicks tongue being shoved in your mouth. Chances are if she was so willing, that tongue has probably been in a lot of places.
