Do you guys believe in magic?And when I say magic,I don't mean fairies or stupid fortune tellers...I mean spell-casting.Some weeks ago,I met a woman who said that she knows how to cast spells that actually work...She offered to help me get something I want,if I gave her my name and my date of birth.
What do you guys think?Should I trust her or just ignore her offer?

I would be perfectly happy ro believe in magick... If somebody explained it logically.
The most reasonable explanation I could think of would be our atoms somehow sending signals to manipulate other atom particles/pieces of matter into doing what they wish "Magick" but I just think if humans were going to discover magick on their own or already have, we would of known about it by now.
I am not writing off the idea, I am open to things like that, I'm just a little sceptical about people who claim they can "Tell the future" or "Read your mind".
We know so little about anything on the grand scale so it is quite possible that its out their, but I am %99 sure that it does not exist among humans.

From a Wiccan perspective; yes, I absoltely believe in magick.

Do I believe that I'm going to levitate something or make a million dollars appear out of thin air? Hell no. That's not magick to me. That's ridiculous.

I honestly wouldn't trust a complete stranger that doesn't explain what they're going to do with this information or what kind of magick they practice. For all you know, it could be black magick or voodoo, something a lot darker that you usually don't want to mess with.

If you're interested in magick, I wouldn't go to other people to cast spells. I would start researching for yourself and decide if you personally believe any of it and if you'd be interested in any kind of practice.

Fromn what I know, most magicians are fake. They use fancy tricks.
But actual magic.. yes. However, magic to me is a psychological perspective; whether you believe or not. IF you believe in magic, it might be real. Other than that, magic to me is real in a certain way.

I really depends on what she means magic. Spawn fire and water and stuff like that? no, not real, the ability to read ones thoughts or the ability to detect the future, yes. the ability to speak and make contact with the dead, yes. Raise the dead? Im not talking zombies. but people can raise spirits, if she is like that be carful, as the spirit she might raise might not like you all that much, or it could be something worse, like a demon. I ain't talking like religious terms. Personally I believe demons are just bas spirits. In any case if she is going to dabble in dark magic including saionces and quija boards let alone rituals and whatnot I would avoid her completelty.

There is such thing as magick, in a sense, but like multiple people have said, you are smart for not giving her your name and date of birth, but if you wanted to see what she meant, and was truly curious, just give her an alias. False information. Hexes, curses, and voodoo all depend on your true name and something personal for you, without that, there isn't really anything she can do magickally to harm you. Now as >>25 said, raising spirits and messing with the elements without experience could go wrong in so many ways. You could damage your soul, or bring a demon to you, both of which are harmful to yourself and those in the same area.

Now if the woman is just talking about healing, protection, or simply connecting with the are around you, she's alright, maybe a little crazy, but not dangerous. But if she brings out candles, especially pink, red, black, or other darker colors, I'd run like a mother fker.

Ive been a wiccan for a long time and I've witnessed magick being done its 100% real. its complicated and the slightest messup will render it useless but with the correct knowedge and careful steps you can do it. mine you Ive been practicing magick for meny years, I am considerd to be a solintary wiccan(i study alone most of the time) however i do practice with others durring our big hollidays. My element is fire and i can use it. magick is no laughing matter if we wanted to harm you, we could with ease. why do we not, because wiccans are healers not soldiers.

I could give a word for wiccans too. i am a wicca, and we do not believe in satan, we believe in mother nature. and i really feel nice when we do rituals for the different goddess, feel like i am one with this world, or whatsoever, cant really put it in words. aaaaltho, i am not so good with spells,i guess my energy is just not that strong enough for now. any advice how can i put it on a higher level?

I was practicing wicca. So, you can say I do believe in spells. Depends on how you perceive the person for you to trust her. I don't usually trust a lot of people. And even if I believe, I don't think you should trust her either.

first off The spell magick with a K when you are talking about real magick , And as a someone who has Been using it since i was young , and Is dating a wiccan I do believe in magick , The K Has importance to wicca . It is also a way to differintiate real magick from parlor tricks . but yes I do believe in Magick. i had a freind long ago whos mother was a (no shit) sorcerer and her father was (ready for this?) a satanist. her dad was ok i guess, he was just off. but her mother, was a real trip.

I believe in magick. I practice it. Most of the spells I do are for protection. If you count tarot cards in with that, I do that too, although I consider it more of a fortune-telling thing.

However, if the woman just asked for your name and birthday, I'd decline her offer. I don't know much about the magic outside of what I do, but if the things I've read and heard are true, those kinds of spells are always going to backlash.

Name and Birthday are not a very good sign, There are a number of things it could be for most terrible, Don't take the offer and have someone Do a sage blessing on your home to keep all harmmful entities away. Also get some salt or sawdusgt and mix it with ash and pour that in all entrances to your home, It keeps People who mean to harm you away,
