Alright guys... I need your help.

So I met this girl online about 4 years ago. We talked occasionally, but she soon became my best friend. It was established soon after that that we had mutual feelings for eachother, but she lived in one state, and I, another. Now fir 4 years, this girl has been my best friend in the world. We talked for hours every day, I consoled her when her mother died from cancer, and I've always been there for her. I knew that nothing would happen between us while we were in different states, but I got attached. I knew that eventually, she'd get another boyfriend, but foolish me, I pretended like that wouldn't happen. Now it has. I knew it would happen one day, but now it has. It just feels like I've been cast aside. She tried to act like a bitch so that I wouldn't be her friend and she wouldn't have to hurt my feelings, but that didn't work. It feels like I've been hit as hard as I possibly can in the gut. I just don't know what to do right now...

Well, I would just look for another person. It's clear enough that not only she not want to be your girlfriend, but she even not want you as a friend...
Forget about her. I know that will be so hard for you, even impossible, but seems that is the only way to go on in your life.

I've been in your place before, and I myself probably felt just as shitty as you feel. But if this happens, you need to move on eventually. It's harder than hell, but when you find someone better she'll just be a little speck of a memory in the corner of your mind.

My solution is to go out and search for someone prettier and overall better than her. I'm sure you could do it.

This is similar to my situation in many ways,and I agree with the last two posts,just move on you'll find someone better and maybe someoone who will treat you better.Just have patience in finding this person..it may be long but it's worth the wait.

After a while, I feel better. I'm thinking it may have just been the initial shock
