I live in a really small town. I go to high school even though I'm only 13 because there is no jr. high were I live. My class is all of the 8th graders in this town and there is this boy I really like. But Im really shy. I want to ask him to go to a dance with me. But every time I think of asking him I picture him turning me down. I deffenetly not the prettiest girl in our class and he is best friends with the prettiest girl in class. I know you guys probably think I should just ask him. But if I do and he turns me down every one in school will know and if he says yes I would be very happy. But everyone will start rumors saying that we're dating. Not that I don't want to date him I just really don't want to be in a relationship right now.

Dances aren't meant for people not expecting a relationship. A lot of people (mainly women) say that they like just going with their friends, but I personally don't believe that.

I dont have much expeience in this, but most of the people I know go to dances as friends no one ever asumed they were dating. You should really ask its to late for me since I already graduated I really regret alot of things.
